    Job Description

    To proactively manage a portfolio of retail clients by providing comprehensive, relationship-based banking solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Establish, build and strengthen relationships with customers, based on mutual respect, to retain customers and gain word-of-mouth referrals.
    • Ensure that customers are well informed with regards to lending application processes (e.g. vehicle finance, home loans, overdraft, credit card, personal loans, etc), credit maintenance processes (e.g. annual reviews) and account conduct expectations (e.g. minimum account balances, provision for debit orders and cheque payments, etc).
    • Conduct a needs analysis with all new and existing customers to ensure that product opportunities identified are appropriate to meet the customer’s needs and priorities.
    • Pro-actively identify cross-sell opportunities within own portfolio of customers to maximise life cycle opportunities.

    Associate, Debt Capital Markets

    Job Description

    • Participate in marketing via conference calls, physical roadshows, conferences to meet and greet clients and engage bridging discussions between issuers and investors.
    • Provide on the job guidance to less experienced team members, managing information flow, and providing credit and exposure information, as appropriate to resolve any escalated issues and support achievement of objectives as per defined quality standards.
    • Show origination initiative. Generate insights and recommendations from research and analyses activities to proactively support more experienced team members across origination, structuring and execution workstreams.

    • Assess and document risk and regulatory components of transactions, enabling more experienced team members with due diligence and ensuring continued transaction feasibility from deal inception to conclusion.
    • Foster own internal stakeholder relationships across CIB (e.g. Client Coverage, Global Markets, Legal) to develop market understanding, industry knowledge and execution capabilities. Manage delivery against several workstreams across origination, structuring and execution of transactions, liaising with and coordinating activities across internal and external stakeholders throughout the process.
    • Manage quality control of all deliverables, paying close attention to detail to deliver a professional standard. Monitor financial performance to support effective maintenance of financial control within the team.     Job Description

    • Develop a sub-sector coverage and product strategy to effect, establish and grow a leading research franchise, ensuring alignment to broad, sector investor themes.
    • Engage in in-depth conversations with market participants (with a portfolio of medium to large sized clients) to determine market sentiment and generate market insights.

    Sector Lead (Energy and Infrastructure)

    Job Description

    • To define the strategy for the Energy & Infrastructure Sector in BCB Nigeria in terms of risk appetite, business focus and target market.
    • To act as a Subject Matter Expert in the Energy & Infrastructure sector and to provide sector expertise that enables the Business & Commercial Banking relationship managers to deliver the desired financial performance for the sector.
