    Payroll Supervisor

    Job Function

    • This role primarily involves overseeing daily HR administrative activities, serving as the initial point of contact for employees and external stakeholders concerning compensation and benefits, managing employee data and records using the company’s HRIS, and handling various administrative tasks.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Responsible for collecting, collating new hire documentation and information for payroll purposes.
    • Responsible for the verification and calculation of overtime based on the appropriate standard.
    • Prepare and issue out approved surcharge memos to employees and maintain an updated surcharge data.
    • Liaise with payroll administrator for accurate and comprehensive payroll inputs and data.
    • Prepare monthly expatriate quotas returns and submit to the immigration office as and when due.
    • Responsible for all activities relating to CERPAC, green cards and all necessary compliance.
    • Investigate employee relations issues and work to ensure human resources-related decisions are consistent and fair in line with organisational policies.
    • Maintain an updated employee record on MPC or any other organisational HRIS with regular update on new hires onboarding, promotion, demotion, transfers, and terminations, org. chart etc.
    • Liaise with pension fund administrators on new account registrations for employees.
    • Respond and resolve all staff request on payroll related issues.
    • Preparation of contract staff salaries.
    • Preparation of monthly outsource and temporary staff data.
    • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications Required

    • Bachelors / HND in any relevant discipline.

    Controller, Transport Operations

    Key Accountabilities
    General:

    • Planning routes
    • Oversee Fleet coordination.
    • Maintaining Records (EDD, Instanta, I-Manager).
    • Fuel monitoring, to continually benchmark productivity, fleet utilisation, and effective management of operating costs.
    • Safety and Maintenance.

    Revenue Optimisation:

    • Maximize revenue through fulfilment of orders by ensuring trip targets are achieved.
    • Coordination of Transport & Logistics Operations
    • Ensure that loading orders are met (EDD) and goods loaded are delivered to appropriate destinations only and inform on ensued developments while enroute and when delivered.
    • Ensures Loaded trucks/Trips are updated on i-manager and trips are terminated after completion.
    • Monitor the service mileage of assigned trucks to ensure servicing within the approved limits.
    • Ensure that the total tonnage of stock loaded by clients does not exceed the tonnage capacity of each truck.
    • Ensure trucks are moving according to prescribed speed limits and escalates violation.
    • Ensure periodic capturing of trips within client’s location on a daily/weekly and monthly basis.
    • Ensure pre and post trip briefing of delivery officers.
    • Conduct toolbox meeting to ensure safe standard of operation.
    • Liaise with Clients’ staff, Field Officers to sort-out operational issues that may arise from time to time.
    • Proper inspection of assigned trucks, trailers, vehicle accessories and documents, and safety kits to ensure safe and efficient delivery.

    • Use tracking platform to monitor and report daily position and daily activities of trucks to achieve on time delivery, trip cycle days, improved drivers’ productivity, good trucking turnover and client satisfaction.
    • Ensure that appropriate fuel is issued on i-manager to trucks for delivery assignment based on approved chart and fuel consumption.
    • Ensure timely collection of PODs from the client.
    • Escalate major issues to the Senior Fleet Controller
    • Create and maintain fleet files.
    • Manage fleet capacity on diesel consumption and issuance with and accurate compliance of records.
    • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Fleet Controllers
    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety and security regulations and policies.
    • Ensure delivery officers are fully kitted with PPE while on site and on the road.
    • Ensure that adequate and effective risk assessments are undertaken and regularly reviewed.
    • Liaise with HSE department on any health, safety or security problem which you cannot resolve.
    • Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all Delivery Officers under your purview.
    • Comply with health and safety procedures and instructions.

    Qualifications

    • BSc or HND in Sciences or any Social Science not below Second Class lower / Lower credit.
    • Certified in Logistics, Transportation & Distribution (CLTD).
    • Certified in Transportation & Logistics (CILT).
    • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).

    Technical Superintendent

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for the overall management and technical operations of the vessels under his responsibility. This includes overseeing the daily maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey scheduling, onboard general assessment of vessels, inspections and docking when required.
    • Ensure Company owned and managed vessels are operated in a safe, efficient and economical manner and in full compliance with Class and Statutory regulations.
    • Ensure the assigned vessels are fully operational technically or otherwise managed accordingly to the management agreement requirements.
    • To maintain the classification status of the vessels under his charge and to ensure that the survey status reports are sent to the vessels on a monthly basis.
    • Support and monitor on-board Planned Preventive Maintenance to ensure cost effective management and effective implementation of this function.
    • Ensure that Vessels Planned maintenance system is being operated and reported in the manner prescribed in the company’s standards and procedures.
    • Budget responsibility for technical elements of the assigned vessels.
    • Responsible for overseeing the installation and certification of 3rd party equipment on the vessels, such as Diving, ROV and other temporary equipment.
    • Liaise with Vessel Masters and Chief Engineers as required and providing technical advice and assistance when necessary.
    • Identify and source for technical and operational supplies required for the vessels and ensure that the rates are most economical.
    • Co-ordinate and supervise service repairs, utilizing approved sub-contractors as required and ensure all such repairs are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner and within the vessel’s set operational budget.
    • Prepare accurate and comprehensive vessel dry-dock specifications and to supervise dry-dockings and repairs to completion as directed. Dry dockings and repairs may take place at a location remote from normal place of work.
    • Liaising with repair yard management, sub-contractors, Class and Administration to ensure all works are carried out in accordance with agreed specifications and time schedules.
    • Providing written reports as required, detailing in service repairs dry-docking repairs and surveys, including costs incurred during such activities.
    • Ensure all relevant information regarding a vessel repair / docking is updated in the PMS system.
    • Liaise with customers on technical and operational matters including vessel performance.
    • Liaise with the Purchasing department to ensure that purchase requisitions are being tracked and expedited in a timely manner. Report to Fleet Manager when delays have the potential to impact on vessels operational capabilities. Ensure minimum spare requirements are met.
    • Perform monthly review of logs processes and attend to vessel inspections and submit reports.
    • Responsible for the control and updating of the vessel Technical Library (ship’s plans and drawings) as required.
    • Ensure IMCA guidelines and “best industry practices” are adhered to at all times.
    • Oversee and give input to prepare tender documents including establishing costs/budgets/programs and be part of subsequent bid/tender evaluations.
    • Contribute to the appraisal and selection of repair yards and technical service providers.
    • Carry out appraisals of Chief Engineers on board his vessel at end of their contract.

    Other:

    • Maintain high technical knowledge and ensure personal development through training and self-development.
    • Undertake any other Technical related assignments as and when required.
    • Participate in annual review and evaluate projects to determine success and how improvements can be made in the future report and present findings.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Unlimited STCW ’95 Chief Engineer’s license (Motor) sea going vessels or
    • Engineering degree/diploma in mechanics/electromechanical engineering.
