    Operations Manager

    Description

    • Generally in charge of overseeing the affairs of the Operations department, including coordination of activities of staff.
    • Establish and maintain good relationships with contractual operations counterparties and third party service providers
    • Establish and maintain appropriate systems for the arrival, documentation and discharging of vessels.
    • Work to disciplines of operational system and maintain accurate information to allow continuous update and improvement of the operational system.
    • Recommend and aid in implementation of changes to working practices of the operational system.
    • Liaise with related external agencies e.g. PPMC, NPA, DPR to ensure seamless vessel operations
    • Work closely with external depot management and external contractors to insure product documentation is correct and updated.
    • Control of work in progress, using lean purchasing principles to ensure minimum inventory.
    • Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets.
    • Monitor and advise trader on all operational costs related to each transaction (P/L awareness)
    • To always work towards reducing operational costs as it relates to each transaction
    • Work closely with the Shipping officers to schedule and collate all vessel berthing activity planning and accesses to optimize usage by all work streams.
    • With Consultation, Nomination of independent inspectors
    • Perform other related tasks as may from time to time be reasonably required.
    • Any other duties that may be assigned.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; additional certifications in operations or related fields are advantageous.
    • Proven experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
    • Strong understanding of safety protocols, regulations, and best practices.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

    Commercial Sales Executive (Bulk Petroleum Products)

    Role Overview

    • Mindas Petroleum is seeking a high-performing Commercial Sales Executive to drive bulk petroleum product sales across Lagos and its environs.
    • This role is suited for a commercially astute professional with a strong understanding of the Lagos downstream market and a proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding the company’s client base, managing key accounts, and delivering sustainable revenue growth through disciplined sales execution.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive bulk sales of petroleum products across Lagos and surrounding areas
    • Identify, develop, and convert new commercial and industrial customers
    • Manage and grow key client accounts to achieve repeat business
    • Execute end-to-end sales activities including prospecting, client meetings, negotiations, and deal closure
    • Achieve and exceed assigned monthly and annual sales targets
    • Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and competitor activities within the Lagos market
    • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for management
    • Collaborate with supply, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment
    • Maintain strong compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline
    • 2–5years of relevant sales experience, preferably in downstream oil & gas bulk/commercial sales
    • Strong knowledge of the Lagos petroleum market, including key industrial and commercial clusters
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills
    • High level of commercial awareness and customer focus
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
    • Must be willing and available to resume immediately upon employment.
