Job Purpose
The MEAL Officer will be responsible for managing monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning processes to ensure high-quality program implementation, data integrity, and evidence-based decision-making across GHIV Africa programs.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop and maintain monitoring frameworks, indicators, and data collection tools.
- Support baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
- Monitor project progress against indicators and targets.
- Conduct data quality assessments and verification exercises.
Data Management and Analysis
- Manage project databases and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze program data and generate dashboards and reports.
- Support evidence-based program improvement through data analysis.
Accountability
- Establish and manage feedback and complaint response mechanisms for beneficiaries.
- Ensure accountability to affected populations through participatory approaches.
- Document and respond to community feedback.
Learning and Knowledge Management
- Facilitate learning reviews and reflection sessions with project teams.
- Document lessons learned and best practices.
- Support development of case studies, learning briefs, and success stories.
Reporting
- Prepare high-quality monitoring and evaluation reports.
- Contribute to donor reports and program performance updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Monitoring & Evaluation, Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in MEAL or Monitoring and Evaluation in development or humanitarian programs.
- Experience with data collection and analysis tools (Kobo toolbox, Google forms, COMM care, Excel, Power BI, SPSS, or similar).
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Experience designing logical frameworks and indicator tracking tools.
- Knowledge of data quality assurance and evaluation methodologies.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with mobile data collection tools (e.g., Kobo Collect, ODK, COMM care).

Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of project monitoring frameworks, including developing clear and measurable indicators and activity tracking tools.
- Assist in aligning MEAL activities with overall program goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual work plans by ensuring MEAL activities, targets, and indicators are well integrated.
- Maintain and update indicator tracking sheets, databases, and reporting tools to monitor project performance.
- Support adherence to monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and reporting requirements across all project sites.
- Collect, clean, and verify data from field activities to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Generate simple indicator reports and summaries to track project progress.
- Assist in creating data visualizations (e.g., tables, charts, dashboards) for reports and presentations.
- Provide basic reviews and formatting of MEAL reports to ensure quality and consistency.
- Participate in assessments, surveys, and evaluation exercises, including data collection, entry, and documentation.
- Support field monitoring visits to verify data quality, assess activity progress, and capture lessons learned.
- Facilitate regular feedback and accountability activities with community members and stakeholders.
- Support capacity-building activities for project staff and community structures on basic MEAL concepts and data collection tools.
- Contribute to documentation of best practices, success stories, and lessons learned for program improvement.
- Maintain regular communication and coordination with implementing partners, stakeholders, and community structures.
- Perform other duties related to MEAL activities as assigned by the supervisor.

Reports To: Gender and Disability Inclusion Specialist

PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE:
The Gender and PSEA Officer will lead all Gender and PSEA training activities of both the staff and community workers of GHIV Africa and also support program team in reporting and analysis of GHIV Africa projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct gender analysis to understand how women, men, girls, and boys are affected differently by crises.
- Ensure projects are gender-sensitive or gender-transformative.
- Support teams to design programs that address gender inequalities.
- Promote women’s participation and leadership in community activities.
- Ensure services are accessible to women, girls boys and men of different ages, and abilities.
- Implement the organization’s PSEA policy and code of conduct.
- Ensure staff and partners understand zero tolerance for sexual exploitation and abuse.
- Set up safe reporting mechanisms for communities to report abuse.
- Ensure reports are handled confidentially and safely..
- Conduct staff orientation on gender and PSEA.
- Train partners, volunteers, and community leaders.
- Provide guidance on gender-sensitive programming.
- Ensure all staff sign and understand the code of conducts
- Organizing community awareness sessions on gender equality and protection.
- Informing communities about how to report abuse or misconduct.

- Coordinate with UN agencies, NGOs, and government actors.
- Align activities with international standards (e.g., Inter-Agency Standing Committee guidelines).

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Gender studies, social sciences, Human rights or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications may be advantageous.
- Working experience:2-3 years in safeguarding, Gender mainstreaming, or PSEA reporting preferably with NGOs or developmental organizations.
SKILLS :
- Strong knowledge of PSEAH principles, gender equity and humanitarian safeguarding standards.
- Excellent communication both verbal and written, facilitation and reporting skillds.
Additional Requirements
- Fluency in English,Hausa and fulani.

Job Purpose
The Finance Assistant will support the finance unit in ensuring effective financial management of donor-funded projects. The role involves assisting with financial documentation, processing payments, maintaining financial records, supporting budget monitoring, and ensuring compliance with donor and organizational financial policies.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Transactions and Documentation
- Prepare payment vouchers and ensure all supporting documents are complete and properly approved.
- Process staff advances, vendor payments, and reimbursements in accordance with organizational policies.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
Cash and Bank Management
- Assist in managing petty cash and ensure proper recording of all transactions.
- Support preparation of bank reconciliation statements.
- Track cash advances and ensure timely retirement of advances.
Budget Monitoring
- Support the Finance Manager in monitoring project budgets and expenditures.
- Assist in tracking project spending against approved budgets.
- Flag potential budget variances or overspending.
Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
- Support preparation of donor financial reports and budget forecasts.
- Ensure financial data is accurately entered into accounting systems.
Donor Compliance
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with donor regulations and organizational financial procedures.
- Assist in preparing financial documentation for donor reporting requirements such as Supporting schedules.
Audit Support
- Assist in preparing financial documents required for internal and external audits.
- Ensure all financial records are properly organized and easily accessible for audit review.
Financial Filing and Record Keeping
- Maintain both electronic and physical filing systems for finance documents.
- Ensure financial documents are properly archived for future reference and audit purposes.
- Carryout any duties assigned to.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, or ATS) is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1–2years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within an NGO or donor-funded project.
- Experience with donor compliance and financial reporting is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting and financial procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.
