    Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Field Officer

    The Purpose

    • Under the supervision of the MHPSS - Team Leader, the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Field Officer implements Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) activities as defined in collaboration with the Team Leader at local and national level.
    • S/he provides direct support to people affected by armed conflict and/or other situations of violence and/or trains, supervises others to do so. S/he will support planning, implementation and monitoring all MHPSS activities.

    Your Role

    • Develop, implement, and follow up on MHPSS activities aligned with the ICRC MHPSS guidelines and framework.
    • Train and supervise Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) staff/volunteers and other organizations/partners/teams as per the program’s strategy and Plan of Action.
    • Organize referrals of beneficiaries and performs case follow-up, when needed.
    • Complying with ICRC standards, sets up culturally and context-appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools and ensures monitoring and regular data collection.
    • Develop and maintains contacts with NRCS, health authorities, technical teams from other organizations, etc. as necessary.
    • Create and maintains direct links with MHPSS programs beneficiaries.
    • Maintain regular communication with the Mental Health & psychological team and/or MHPSS Team Leader, providing information and programs updates.
    • Collaborate effectively with other ICRC departments (Protection. EcoSec, health etc..) to ensure cross cutting, integrated and multidisciplinary approach.
    • Identify key community actors and/or health staff who will benefit from mental health awareness, sensitisation and /or basic psychological and psychosocial support trainings, with the support of the MHPSS delegate.
    • Ensure regular links with key actors and health facilities are maintained to ensure beneficiary identification and referral pathways are relevant and functional.
    • Participate constructively in weekly supervision with the MHPSS TL and in peer supervision to foster an atmosphere of mutual support and learning within the ICRC MHPSS team.
    • Provide and/or facilitate supportive and constructive coaching and supervision to NRCS and community psychosocial support volunteers to aid in their skills development.

    Your Profile
    Education & Experience:

    • University degree in psychology, clinical psychology is preferable or licensed psychiatric nurse
    • 2-5 years of overall professional experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in MHPSS programs.
    • Experience in conducting training and supervision.
    • Red Cross/Red Crescent experience is an asset.
    • Clinical, psychosocial, and community-based experience.
    • Confirmed computer user (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Fluent spoken and written English and Hausa - Mandatory. Knowledge of local languages is an asset
    • Practicing Licence
    • Humanitarian experience is an asset.
    • You must have a valid working permit to work in Nigeria

    Medical Supply Chain Planner

    The Purpose

    • Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Coordinator, the Supply Chain Planner ensures that the future demand needs of the requesting departments are available in the JD Edwards software system by uploading forecasts.
    • S/he sees to it that all forecast inputs are processed, and that goods sourcing meets demand in the most efficient and effective way.

    Your Role

    • Monitor material resource planning (MRP) suggestions, analysis supply and demand, and takes appropriate actions to improve forecasting accuracy and proper stock availability.
    • Decide on order fulfilment based on the delegation’s stocking strategy per product category, and in accordance with the priorities identified together with the requesting departments and logistics team, to ensure the most effective and efficient inventory management.
    • Set and updates the MRP system parameters and item settings in the JD Edwards software.
    • Responsible for the delegation’s consolidated demand figure; proposes and monitors buffer stock based on own analysis. Maintains the contingency stock items list in line with delegation policy.
    • Support focal points within the requesting departments (e.g. Health Unit, Water and Habitat Unit) in making and correcting their monthly forecasts. Additional responsibilities for the Logistic Support Centre Supply Chain Planner.
    • Communicates with customers closely to deliver the needs on time manner and to improve visibility of operation and lean supply chain on variability context.
    • Contribute to supply chain support for an assigned geographic area or specific group of products. (in other words, supporting a specific supply chain officer)
    • Consolidate demand data with customer, analyses and discusses all collaborative demand planning during the Monthly operation planning (MOP)- trilateral meeting with the Supply Chain Coordinator.
    • Manage to prepare and present MOP trilateral meeting and prepare slides for monthly MOP presentation.
    • Maintain the reliable forecast by monitoring and adjusting the AA/I5 when needed and making sure that all other forecasts I1/I3 are reflected on JDE based on the client requests and MOP validations.
    • Treat material resource planning (MRP) message, and orders properly considering supplier(internal/external) Leadtime, transport cost and restriction in context.
    • Manage the replenishment and transfer of stock to the subsites.
    • Provide supply chain operational data and statistics actively to the customer and supports customers to update data on demand planning phase correctly.
    • Manage, analyses and follows action to improve on time in full (OTIF) index.
    • Ensure that risks are mitigated by performing the controls assigned to his/her role as described in the Logistics Risk and Control Matrix

    Your Profile
    Education & Experience:

    • University Degree in Logistics, Supply chain or related field.
    • 6–9 years’ overall professional experience
    • Experience in supply chain management.
    • Experience in planning and forecasting.
    • Additional vocational training in health sciences an asset.
    • Computer proficiency and strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Experience with MRP Oracle tools is preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills, (English- both verbal and written with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders)
