Job Summary 

• A leading resort in Lagos, renowned for its world-class hospitality, premium leisure, dining, and golf experiences, is expanding its team.

• The Lifeguard is responsible for the general supervision and safety of patrons using the swimming pool at the Sports Center by preventing and responding to emergencies. Lifeguards are superior swimmers who are able to give advice on water safety to patrons, conduct swift water rescues and control unruly behavior if necessary.

 Responsibilities 
Oversee Swimmer Safety:

• Maintain swimmers’ safety
• Monitor water conditions and guest behavior, by enforcing safety rules and paying close attention to swimmers’ activities and behavior.
• Lifeguards may issue warnings when a visitor is creating an unsafe environment and may determine when they need to ask a guest to leave.
•  Lifeguards may also assist new swimmers to help them safely enjoy the water.

Conduct Rescue Operations:

• Rescue swimmers from the water during drowning situation.
• When the Lifeguard notices a swimmer struggling or beneath the water for too long, they take necessary steps to safely remove the swimmer from the water.
• In some cases, the Lifeguard may have to begin CPR procedures, working with other lifeguards to contact emergency services personnel and provide assistance to the swimmer.
• Be the first line of safety at our pool facilities by monitoring activities, enforcing safety regulations, and responding effectively to emergencies when required.

Swimming Coach:

• Passionate about teaching and water safety?
• Join our team to deliver engaging swimming lessons, develop swimmers of all skill levels, and promote a safe aquatic environment.
• The Swimming Coach would be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality swimming skills to children
• and adults.
• The focus is on moving beyond basic supervision to water confidence and stroke refinement, ensuring that the Lakowe lakes pool remains a safe and productive environment for all residents and guests.
• Coordinate individual and group Swimming lessons.

Core Responsibilities and Key Result Areas

• Conduct initial assessments for new students and provide monthly progress reports to parents or adult learners.
• Utilize modern drills to improve techniques in Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly.
• Maintain constant 100% visual surveillance of the pool area during lessons.
• Coach should be CPR Certified.
• Complete all assigned digital training modules via the Safety Culture platform regarding pool safety and facility protocols.
• Ensure all swimming aids (kickboards, noodles,) are organized and safely stored after each session.
• Coordinating and conducting individual and group Swimming lessons.
• Developing suitable training programs based on age, objectives, and individual skill level.
• Making sure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
