    Lead Research and Development Consultant

    Job Profile

    • As a Lead Research and Development Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategies, driving impactful projects, and providing expert guidance to clients.
    • Your experience in social research, development consulting, program management, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership will be instrumental in achieving organizational goals.

    Responsibilities
    As a Lead Research and Development Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

    • Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and challenges.
    • Develop comprehensive strategies that align with global development goals.
    • Provide expert advice on policy formulation, program design, and implementation.
    • Develop/communicate forward-thinking strategy aligned with business goals.
    • Conduct rigorous social research studies, including impact assessments, needs assessments, and feasibility studies.
    • Analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights.
    • Translate research findings into practical recommendations for clients.

    Requirements
    You would be a good fit if you:

    • B.Sc. or higher in a relevant field (e.g., International Development, Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy)
    • At least 15 years of progressive experience in international development, preferably with exposure to multilateral organizations
    • Proven track record in managing complex projects and achieving measurable impact.
    • Familiarity with development frameworks, sustainable development goals (SDGs), and global policy trends.
    • Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., R, SAS, SQL) and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor diverse teams and drive results.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Comfortable working in dynamic, cross-cultural environments.

    As Head of Finance, your responsibilities will be to:

    • Develop and implement the firm's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide financial forecasts for strategic decision-making.
    • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, and recommend corrective actions as needed.

    You would be a good fit if you:

    • Have a first Degree in Finance / Accounting.
    • Must have proven experience with treasury tools (T-bills, fixed deposits, money market, local and foreign stock market, bonds, derivatives, hedging, etc.).
    • Must have relevant Finance certification; ICAN/ACCA/CFA, etc.
    • Possess post-graduate qualifications in a related field.
    • Have at least 15 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
    • Have experience interacting with C-Suite executives from different backgrounds, and the ability to represent the firm when required in relevant circumstances.
    • Demonstrate appropriate understanding/working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them.
    • Have extremely strong MS Excel and financial modeling skills.
    • Have knowledge of procedural controls and data validation techniques.
    • Have a thorough understanding of derivatives, hedging, investments, bank account management, and international fund flows.
    • Are an analytical thinker with the ability to conduct research, data analysis, and resolve complex problems.

    • As the ‘owner’ of the company culture, the role requires someone who can see and internalize the organizational vision, be flexible with methodology, be focused on delivering a world class office/company culture and be genuinely concerned with the welfare of employees.

    Responsibilities
    As Head of Human Resources, your responsibilities will be to:

    • Formulate and implement an HR strategy that promotes the achievement of the firm’s business strategic objectives.
    • Draw up the annual budget for all HR programs in line with the firm’s strategy.
    • Develop and implement effective HR procedures and policies in all areas to reflect business aims. This includes policies relating to recruitment and selection, compensation, performance management, training and development, employee welfare, succession planning, retention, labor relations, etc.
    • Implement all HR initiatives in line with the firm’s strategic and business objectives.
    • Support corporate strategy formulation by identifying key HR issues; contribute information, analysis, and recommendations to guide strategic thinking and direction within the business.

    Requirements
    You’d be a good fit if you:

    • Hold a minimum of a first Degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration, or any relevant discipline.
    • An MBA or master’s Degree in a related discipline is an added advantage.
    • Certification: CIPM, PHRi, SPHRI
    • Possess a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience (including demonstrable experience heading a team/department).
    • Have a proven track record in developing and delivering a people-centric strategy in a senior HR role.
    • Have a successful track record of using organizational development interventions to support change.
    • Have up-to-date knowledge of employment law and modern HR practices.
    • Possess excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
    • Show strong and demonstrable ability to use Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
    • Are a strong HR generalist, well-versed in all areas of the HR life cycle.
    • Can demonstrate experience of leading the successful implementation of HR change projects across a broad scope.
    • Are CIPM qualified or equivalent.
