    Business Development Executive

    Role Overview

    • We seeks a proactive and strategic Business Development Executive to drive business growth, expand market presence, and secure new clients across construction, engineering, fabrication, and infrastructure projects.
    • The ideal candidate will identify opportunities, manage client relationships, and deliver measurable revenue results.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and secure new business opportunities in construction, engineering, logistics, and infrastructure sectors.
    • Lead client acquisition activities: prospecting, presentations, negotiations, and contract closures.
    • Develop and implement strategies for market expansion and revenue growth.
    • Manage proposal/tender preparation in collaboration with internal teams.
    • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities with weekly reporting to the MD/BDM.
    • Build and sustain relationships with clients, partners, community stakeholders, and regulators.
    • Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and opportunity assessments.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • New revenue generated (monthly/quarterly).
    • Number of new clients acquired per month.
    • Monthly sales pipeline growth & conversion rate.
    • Weekly client meetings, proposals, and tender submissions.
    • Market intelligence reports delivered monthly.
    • Strategic partnerships initiated or secured per quarter.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
    • 3–5 years’ experience in business development (construction/oil & gas/engineering preferred).
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build relationships and close deals under time pressure.
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian procurement and industry frameworks (advantage).
    • Willingness to travel to project sites and client locations.

    Head - Automation

    Job Description

    • This candidate will be responsible for the effective management of Automation Projects and the training of the Robotics and Automation curriculum in the classroom and laboratory setting.

    Responsibilities
    Assist in developing and updating curriculum and laboratory projects on some of the following topics:

    • Managing Automation Projects
    • Programmable Logic Controllers
    • Ladder Logic
    • Industry 4.0
    • Industrial Networking
    • Electricity/ Electronics
    • Automation
    • Manufacturing
    • Autodesk Inventor
    • Troubleshooting Methods
    • Instrumentation and Controls
    • C Programming
    • Vision Systems
    • Conduct classroom and shop training utilizing proper instructional techniques, practices and following the approved curriculum
    • Utilize equipment and training aids in daily lessons
    • Report all damaged or missing instructional equipment
    • Ensure that classroom and shop areas are kept clean, orderly and promote a learning environment
    • Maintain and record student attendance and grades
    • Prepare class lessons and test in a timely manner
    • Design training aids and mock-ups in area of instructor expertise
    • Administer tests and make-up tests per MIAT procedures manual
    • Ensure that students follow all established policies, procedures, and safety practices
    • Ensure that a professional training environment is always maintained in the classroom and shop areas
    • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Education or Assistant Director of Education.

    Performance Standards

    • Instructors will be evaluated on their ability to promote and implement the objective of the school
    • Assure that the curriculum is adhered to, and delivered with motivation and enthusiasm
    • Proper monitoring of all equipment, supplies and tools to ensure the safety of the students and staff on projects
    • Ensure that student morale is maintained at a high level
    • Maintain a good standing on student and lab equipment evaluations
    • All internal and external reports and forms have been accurately completed and submitted in a timely fashion
    • Maintain an annual average of 95% student retention
    • Instructor evaluations will be done twice a year by management
    • Instructors evaluations will be done by students every quarter.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Associate degree required
    • 10 years prior experience in the field required
    • 5 years prior experience in training preferred
    • Autodesk Inventor experience preferred
    • Programmable Logic Control experience preferred
    • Industrial Networking experience a plus.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to teach students of various ages and diverse backgrounds
    • Effectively Manage Automation projects
    • Able to work productively and communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word and Excel required)
    • Must be able to deal responsibly with confidential information
    • Must be personable, energetic and have a customer service orientation
    • Must be self-motivated
    • Must be able to work alone or with a team.

    Working Conditions:

    • Majority of time spent in education environment
    • Work will consist an 8-hour day, 75% teaching and 25% administration
    • Appropriate safety measures must be followed
    • Exposure to chemicals that are standard to the industry.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. / BEng. / BTech. / HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields
    • Over 10 years experience with facilitation experience / presentation skills
    • Ability to design world-class training materials and trainers
    • Must be skilled in practical / field exposure with direct applications
    • Relevant Post-graduate degree(s) or certification(s) is an advantage.

    Skills Required:

    • Ability to facilitate or pass across previous experience
    • Ability to work under pressure and tight reporting schedule
    • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a team
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Readiness to travel for in-plant trainings.
