The Key Purpose of this role is to operate and maintain defined Brewing equipment and related processes to achieve optimal effectiveness.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

OPERATING AND PROCESS CONTROL

• Operating equipment in Brewing process areas according to VPO standards 
• Constantly reviewing process performance against target, and recording short stops and correcting any out of controls using the VPO tools
• Recording waste and movement of product on the appropriate documentation or information systems. Review trends to identify & resolve problems.

MAINTENANCE OF PLANT AND EQUIPMENT

• Carrying out autonomous operations as defined for the process areas. 
• Identify defective plant, and report these through to the Process Artisan or Team Leader to assist with resolution.
• Assisting the Process Artisan/Machine specialist in executing running repairs on shift.

QUALITY CONTROL AND ANALYSIS

• Carrying out the required quality checks and analyses and recording the results on the appropriate information system.
• The list of quality checks to be executed is contained in the work instructions.
• React to the results using the VPO tools supplied.

 COMMUNICATION

• Actively participate in shift meetings, asking questions to test understanding and contributing suggestions. making use of the action logs to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities.
• Fully understand the team Dream and contribute in achieving it. 
• Make use of relevant communication media (e.g. shift logbook) to stay informed and inform others of issues.
• Complete required hand over to incoming shift team members, ensuring the issues relating to plant performance, quality and maintenance are communicated.

PROBLEM SOLVING

• Where problems occur, use the VPO problem solving tools to resolve and record the issues.

The Key Purpose of this role is to lead and facilitate the Brewing raw materials department in order to meet production requirements whilst maintaining a safe work environment. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist with all VPO Pillar Implementation 
• Interpret and implement brewing and production plan, to ensure raw material availability 
• Ensure stock accuracy in SAP and PaQT 
• Responsibility for SAP master data accuracy 
• Ensure MRP KPI compliance 
• Audit materials stock reconciliation 
• Provide information to regional production planner and divisional planning as well as suppliers 
• Comply with relevant audit requirements 
• Provide information and participate in situational and systemic problem solving as required 
• Investigate & minimize material (transfer) losses 
• Assist with new material trials as the need arises 
• Team Leadership 
• Manage relationship with suppliers 
• Support training and coaching needs 
• Ensure PTP Adherence & GR/IR follow up 
• Ensure Hygiene and Food safety compliance

The Key Purpose of this role is to ensure the timeous receiving and issuing of raw materials to ensure uninterrupted production, to manage returns of returnable and non- returnable raw materials to production and suppliers and ensure accurate material reconciliations including stock counts.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control raw materials and stocks
• Receive, issue and return raw materials
• COA checks and sampling of Packaging Raw materials
• Manage SAP material movements via SAP transactions
• Picking & Staging Packaging raw materials for production
• Apply good waste management techniques
• Apply Good Housekeeping principles
• Monitor and report on, truck turnaround times, on time in full deliveries and expediting
• Administrative duties
• Liaison with internal and external customers
• Support team goals and VPO principles
• Assisting fellow team members in the execution of their tasks

Minimum Requirements:

• Min. of OND/B.Sc./HND or equivalent in the Social Sciences, Sciences or Engineering
• Stores and materials handling experience
• Computer literate (Windows, Excel, SAP)
• Two years’ experience in a logistics environment
• Good understanding of the Brewing and Packaging production processes
• Knowledge and understanding of the SAP PTP and Materials Management processes
• Licensed Forklift driver
• Knowledge of stock control & inventory systems and procedures
