    Senior Sales Executive (Lubricants)

    Job Code: ITL-SSE-001

    Role Summary

    • The Senior Sales Executive for Lubricants is responsible for managing the sales of automotive lubricants and related products within designated regions such as Victoria Island, Lekki Phase I, Apapa, Isolo, Adeniyi Jones Ikeja, Port Harcourt, Onitsha (Anambra State), Jos, Kano, Kaduna, Abuja, and Ibadan. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying sales opportunities, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the growth of the lubricants portfolio.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties
    Sales & Business Development (40% Total Workload): 

    • Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the lubricants sector, expanding market presence across the designated locations.
    • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key customers and distributors.
    • Build and manage a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities, executing a targeted sales strategy.
    • Drive sales growth by recommending the right lubricants and automotive products to meet customer needs.

    New Customer Generation (20% Total Workload): 

    • Prospect and generate new customer accounts, including targeting high-potential industries and sectors.
    • Introduce new customers to the company’s product offerings and demonstrate the benefits of lubricants and other automotive products.
    • Cultivate relationships through in-person meetings, presentations, and calls, turning leads into loyal customers.

    Product Knowledge & Technical Support (15% Total Workload): 

    • Provide in-depth technical knowledge about lubricants, their applications, and benefits to customers.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in lubricants, offering tailored solutions to clients.
    • Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve customer inquiries and product issues. 

    Sales Support & Documentation (10% Total Workload): 

    • Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and product specifications in the CRM system.
    • Ensure proper documentation for product specifications, warranties, and customer preferences.
    • Prepare reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities. 

    Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis (5% Total Workload): 

    • Monitor competitor activities and gather market intelligence to inform sales strategies.
    • Analyze customer feedback and competitor offerings to recommend strategic improvements in product offerings and pricing.

    Team Collaboration & Training (5% Total Workload): 

    • Work with the marketing and product teams to develop promotional materials for lubricants.
    • Provide guidance and training to junior sales staff on lubricant products, techniques, and customer engagement strategies.

    Customer Relationship Management (5% Total Workload): 

    • Maintain ongoing customer relationships through regular check-ins and follow-up to ensure satisfaction and retention. 5%

    Qualifications and Skills
    Qualification:

    • Minimum: National Diploma (ND), Polytechnic Diploma, or equivalent from a recognized institution.Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in lubricants or related automotive products.
    • Preferred: Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in lubricants or related automotive products.
    • Experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales and managing a sales territory is highly preferred.

    Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex product information clearly.
    • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and presentation skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to overcome objections.
    • Experience with CRM tools to manage leads, track customer interactions, and generate reports.

    Front Office Executive cum Data Entry Operator

    Responsibilities
    Customer Service (20% of Total Workload):

    • Greet and welcome customers with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
    • Answer customer inquiries and provide information on products, services, and pricing.
    • Handle customer complaints or concerns, ensuring timely resolution.
    • Recommend tyres, batteries, lubricants, or other products based on customer needs.
    • Assist customers in selecting products and services that meet their requirements.

    OTC Sales (Over-the-Counter), 25% of Total Workload:

    • Conduct over-the-counter sales for walk-in customers (tyres, batteries, lubricants, and other automotive products).
    • Handle cash and electronic payments, issue receipts, and ensure accurate transactions.
    • Provide product details, upsell additional products (e.g., tyre detailing products, lubricants).

    Data Entry & Documentation (20% of Total Workload):

    • Maintain accurate customer records, warranty registrations, and transaction details in the CRM system.
    • Ensure proper documentation of customer interactions, sales, and inventory.
    • Process and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports of sales and inventory.

    Administrative Support (10% of Total Workload):

    • Manage front desk operations: answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.
    • Process customer payments, record transactions, and ensure accuracy in documentation.
    • Assist with customer appointments for services (installation, maintenance, etc.).

    Sales & Inventory Support (20% of Total Workload):

    • Assist in managing inventory levels for tyres, batteries, and other products.
    • Monitor stock levels and inform customers about product availability.
    • Ensure promotional materials and product displays are up to date.

    General Store Operations (5% of Total Workload):

    • Keep the front office area neat, clean, and organized.
    • Assist the store manager with general administrative and operational tasks.
    • Ensure the display of signage, price lists, and promotional materials is accurate.

    Team Collaboration (5% of Total Workload):

    • Collaborate with the sales and service teams to enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Participate in team meetings and provide feedback for store improvement.
    • Support in achieving store sales targets and goals.

    Qualifications and Skills
    Education:

    • Minimum: Ordinary National Diploma (OND), National Diploma, or equivalent from a recognized polytechnic or institution.
    • Preferred: Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent, or Bachelor's Degree.

    Experience:

    • At least 1-2 years of experience in customer service, OTC sales, or front office roles (preferably in retail or automotive sectors).

    Skills

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with retail management software is a plus.
    • Ability to manage cash and payments accurately.
    • Knowledge of automotive products such as tyres, batteries, and lubricants is an advantage.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
