Requirements

• Sailing experience on international waters is an added advantage

Description

• Supervise loading/offloading containers and loose cargo in the Warri jetty, including stuffing and de stuffing of containers
• Responsible for making sure that containers and lifting gears are approved for use and conduct visual inspection prior to use
• Coordinate with offshore maintenance team to ensure that all returned materials are documented
• Warehouse focal point for offshore materials and equipment requirement
• Responsible for preparing shipment manifest for going offshore
• Supervises vessel planning activities prior to the vessel arriving to Warri base
• Ensures the load and discharge is performed accurately and timely
• Responsible for ensuring vessels sail at the earliest time possible
• Acts as a focal point for any stevedoring issues that may arise with assigned vessel
• Completes required documents associated with operations in an accurate and timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

Job Description

• Assess costs and estimate the production capabilities and economic value of oil and gas wells, in order to evaluate the economic viability of potential drilling sites.
• Monitor production rates, and plan rework processes in order to improve production.
• Analyze data in order to recommend placement of wells and supplementary processes to enhance production.
• Coordinate and monitor the completion and evaluation of wells, well testing, and well surveys and stimulation programs, in order to maximize oil and gas recovery.
• Assist FPSO production process operators and other personnel to solve operational problems.
• Develop plans for oil and gas field drilling, and for product recovery and treatment.
• Maintain records of drilling and production operations.
• Interpret drilling and testing information for management.
• Write technical reports and presentations for management.
• Evaluate findings in order to develop, design, or test equipment or processes controls on oil and gas operations.
• Design drilling equipment used in the process of extracting oil and gas from offshore reserves
• Devise plans and methods for effective drilling campaign to recover oil and gas
• Ensure equipment is installed, operated and maintained properly for effective use production and drilling operations
• Work closely with the procurement team to procure the necessary equipment and tools for projects
• Work together with geoscientists and other specialists to analyze the geologic formation containing the oil and gas reservoir
• Monitor drilling operations as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other mechanical systems for maintenance and or repair purposes
• Responsible for preventive, routine and non-routine maintenance and for the repair of relevant machineries, pumps and compressors and document non-conformances and put a long-term management plan in place.
• Conduct surveillance duties using hand tools and small power tools to capture performance data or aberrations on critical rotating equipment while running in preparation for future predictive maintenance.
• Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on power generating sets, gas compressors and gas turbines to ensure no power out on the FPSO facility.

Key Requirements

• Required offshore certifications – BOSIET/HUET and STCW
• OND / HND or equivalent competency certification in mechanical engineering trade tests
• Minimum of 3-5 years of field experience with diesel and gas-powered engines
• Predictive / preventive maintenance and repair of all mechanical and static rotating equipment to ensure operational reliability at all times

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the company HSE Procedure in all work activities.
• Maintain all the required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System to be compliant with OHSAS 18001/2007 and ISO 14001/ 2004 standards, including corrective and preventive measures.
• Maintain updated HSE manuals and policy for the company on a quarterly basis and liaise with all the government agencies within the industry on HSE matters
• Perform regular safety training sessions and hold toolbox talks with crews and audit job sites activities.
• Monitor HSE controllers in executing continuous audits.
• Manage the HSE controllers and coordinate their audit schedule
• Provide HSE improvement proposals stating: the non-conformance, proposed corrective action, required resources for corrective action and plan of implementation.
• Investigate the root cause HSE complaints put forward by staff members, customers, clients and contractors and report the result to the Management, Base Manager and OIM.
• Follows up to ensure that corrective actions are implemented where necessary and ensures that any certification requirements are complied with;
• Audit all jobs that are being performed on any of the company’s operation both offshore and onshore is carried out with ''Safe Work Permit.
• Assist with the implementation of Job Safety Analysis and inspect job site activities during particularly difficult or hazardous work situations;
• Assist local management in the preparation and presentation of field HSE meetings;
• Coordinate and participate in the investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses;
• Review and analyze accidents and near miss incidents and making corrective action recommendations.
• Ensure regular emergency response exercises and drills are conducted to ensure the highest level of preparedness in any emergency. Maintains records of such drills, providing recommendations for emergency response improvements.
• Supervises the regular inspection of firefighting, safety and emergency response equipment.
• Assist in developing and implementing field location emergency response procedures and evacuation plans. Draw up chart for safety drills on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis as well as keep proper record of same.
• Assist with Regional Safety Awards Program including promoting it in the field to the employees.
• Manage Safety Budget.
• Perform annual personnel evaluations.
• Responsible for preparing written weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and presentations related to HSE performance.
• Ensure that all HSE manuals and posters as well as muster points are clearly placed at strategic positions within the company premises and facilities.
• Responsible for securing environmental impact assessment report for field development as well as secure all the needed DPR and other agencies approval for well drilling programs.

Compulsory Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Safety related courses.
• BOSIET/HUET + STCW
• Offshore Medical certificate
• Possession of NEBOSH (Level 2)

Job Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to function well in a multi-tasking environment and to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
• Minimum of 10 years work experience in the field of HSE within the E&P oil and gas industry
• Membership of the Nigeria Institute of Safety professionals is an added advantage.
