    Category Specialist, Procurement

    Job Description

    • Implement Technology Category Management strategies and activities across multiple dimensions, including category analysis, contract implementation, and supplier relationship improvement initiatives to increase market competitiveness and sustain ongoing category improvements
    • Proactively work with Category Manager (Technology) to identify and plan category related procurement activities for the financial year and periodically review category spend to identify and pursue strategic sourcing and demand management opportunities
    • Execute Go-To-Market strategies utilizing an end-to-end value chain approach -specifically, obtain complete and accurate business requirements from the end users, develop RFx (RFI/RFQ/RFP) documents and identification of qualified vendors; manage source to contract until PO Is created
    •  Collate responses from vendors and liase with the various committee (TEC, PMC) for evaluation
    •  Ensure compliance to the Bank’s Procurement Policy, standards and guidelines for all category related products or services
    •  Conduct vendor contract negotiations with suppliers to procure category related products/services to ensure best value regarding pricing and quality 
    •  Ensure adherence to defined parameters for quality assurance of goods/services received as well as the escalation route for complaints/rejection.
    •  Prepare periodic report of trend analysis for procurement volumes and cycles to support the various category management activities
    •  Proactively perform market surveys to verify competitiveness of purchase prices and best value goods specifications for procurement categories  
    •  Identify relevant external market trends with respect to the technology industry   
    •  Provide input for supplier appraisal via supplier audits, performance evaluations etc. to validate ability of suppliers to meet defined standards and rate suppliers accordingly
    • Collaborate with centralized admin for invoicing and payment of suppliers and resolve or escalate identified issues (if any)
    • Supervise and coach Category Analysts
    • Undertake any other responsibilities as requested by the Category Manager in accordance with the scope and responsibilities of the role
    • Comply with the principles and policies in the Information Security Hand book of the Bank

    Job Requirements/Qualifications

    • BSC. (First degree) Social Sciences.  
    • Higher Degrees/Professional Certifications (an added advantage).
    • Minimum experience: 5 years relevant experience in Procurement, inventory and market 
    • Minimum of CIPS Diploma or relevant certifications (CPIM, CPP, CSCP)

    Team Lead, Analytics & Insights

    Job Description

    • Develop processes, procedures, models and other structures to report the bank’s performance across the lines of business
    • Run perodic procedures to generate, validate, correct, and finalize MIS reports and dashboards to determine performance at SBU levels and for individuals, teams, groups in each SBU in line with the banks’s line of  business hierarchy
    • Develop, implement, manage and maintain the MIS and performance dashboard reporting applications
    • Generate actionable analytics and insight on the bank’s growth, profitability, sales, competitivesss etc on multiple products, channels, and lines business
    • Facilitate robust performance dialogues with Bank, SRF & SBU Excutives (MPR, QPR, Exco Retreats) in conjunction with the Unit Head and HoD
    • Propose and drive revenue and cost optimization based on insight and analytics
    • Provide actionable insights and analytics as may be required to drive and optimize the bank’s performance 
    • Drive and track strategic initiatives, process improvement and automation projects as may be assigned by Unit Head, Budgeting & Analytics or GH, BPM
    • Any other duty as may be assigned by Unit Head, Budgeting & Analytics or GH, BPM

    Job Requirements: 

    • First Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Science or Engineering. 
    • Master’s Degree/Professional certification in Accounting or Finance.
    • Ten years’ industry experience and at least five years in a MIS, Finance or accounting role.
    • Experience in MIS (Management Information System).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, MS access, SQL, etc.
    • Experience in Finance or Accounting.

    MSC Media & External Relations

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support the Team Lead in media planning and guidance across the group to drive PR optimization of events and activities
    • Develop and disseminate press release features; and photo stories across the media to generate publicity and positioning of the brand
    • Support the team lead in implementing crisis management initiatives to mitigate against reputational risks and build positive PR capital
    • Support the team lead to conduct media monitoring and analysis across news and PR channels for Banks and Holdco along the lines of agreed metrics.
    • Proposal review and analysis to identify opportunities that promote brand image building and strengthened relationship with the media
    • Feature articles commissioning to the media to drive Top of Mind Awareness of the brand through brand positioning as a clear leader in various products and services
    • Support the team lead in coordinating media participation at the bank’s events, publishing of post event reports and news stories to generate awareness
    • Daily News Report to management
    • Payment processing to partners and stakeholders

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education 

    Minimum Education: First degree in Mass Communication, Marketing or social sciences-based discipline.

    Experience

    Minimum 2 - 5 years significant work experience to include firsthand interaction on corporate communications related tasks in the Banking; Telecommunications; or agencies in the corporate communications industry.
