Job Purpose

• The role holder will be required to provide effective managerial skills to Adeeva Insurance Underwriting teams across the region in order to deliver profitable growth.

Job Duties

• Ensure that the standard insurance business placement processes through claims processing are followed religiously
• Study the Insured line of business to determine associated risk types and likely Policies
• Study and Review Insurance proposals and seek to improve terms
• Properly Assess and analyze prospective Insured background information
• Schedule meetings with Insurers to determine risk assessment in unique circumstances
• Layout and finalize insurance policies applying specific terms and conditions as agreed upon by the Insured
• Liaise with the Insurers to determine the premium due based upon informed judgment, competitors and market pricing
• Ensure that premiums are competitive and that accounts remain profitable
• Review insurance claims and terms 
• Review policies and help with policy wording ensuring that the Insured is properly protected
• Keep detailed and accurate records of policies underwritten and decisions made.
• Review of Tenders/EOI to ensure compliance with tender requirements 
• Prepare all regulatory returns (Monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly) as far as it concerns Technical department
• Review all policy documents / endorsement and post-placement report on Insured insurance programs.

Person Specification & Additional Requirements

• A Degree in Insurance or related discipline.
• Strong numeracy, analytical, and strategy skills
• Good research skills and conversant with the current trends in the global Insurance industry most especially Nigeria Insurance Market Place
• A professional approach to work, integrity, and respect for ethics
• IT competence and computer literacy are compulsory
• Negotiation skills, written and oral communication skills
• The confidence to relate to a range of people and to challenge people when necessary.
• The ability to explain complex issues and present technical information.

• As the Head of Marketing, you will take Adeeva Insurance marketing experience to the next level by serving as the point person for developing, creating, and implementing online and offline marketing campaigns that support our public relations, insurance sales representatives, and team members, and reach our customers who are seeking ways to safeguard against the risks of everyday life.

• Map out the development of business/sales strategy plans  Generate leads, meet with clients, complete a financial needs analysis, and present them with

Job Purpose

• The Head of Accounts/Finance will be responsible for planning Adeeva Insurance financial strategy, protecting the company’s revenues and profits so as to achieve full and sustainable growth.

Job Duties

• Preparation and Presentation of Company Annual Reports & Accounts.
• Preparation of Premium Remittance to the Underwriters.
• Preparation of Commission Remittance to Co-Brokers
• Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-Annual and Annual Reports to NAICOM. Attending to Regulatory issues viz; NAICOM, FIRS, SBIR, PENCOM, ITF, NSITF etc. for compliance
• Supervising Monthly Filling and Annual Return to NAICOM, FIRS, LIRS, PENCOM, ITF and NSITF, etc
• Ensuring that all Bank accounts are maintained as instructed by the regulators. i.e Client & Commission Account.
• Keep the MD abreast of the organisation's financial status.
• Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions (i.e. disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).
• Report periodically to the MD and regulatory authorities in line with relevant contractual framework and timelines
• Maintain financial security and confidentiality by following internal control procedure(s).
• Assist with payroll system and payroll-related items.
• Ensure computation, preparation, payment, and filing of taxes accurately.
• Ensure statutory compliance with Federal and State financial laws and regulations by studying existing and new legislation, adhering to requirements, and advising the MD when required.

• M.Sc / MBA / Professional Qualification in ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Audit, Finance, or Accounting.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and financial modeling.
• Must be very tech-savvy.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office tools
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and people management skills are compulsory
