    Lead Event Planner

    Job Summary

    • As the Lead Event Planner, you will architect the blueprint for unforgettable events while mentoring a high-performing team.
    • Beyond logistics, you’ll be astrategic partner to clients, translating their vision into actionable plans that balance innovation, budget, and risk.
    • You’ll own end-to-end planning for our projects, setting new standards for excellence in Nigeria’s events industry.

    Responsibilities
    Strategic Planning & Client Partnership (Essential):

    • Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions to uncover client objectives, KPIs, and success metrics.
    • Develop event master plans integrating creative concepts and technical specifications
    • Present strategic proposals to clients, including ROI analysis and risk mitigation frameworks.

    Team Leadership & Development:

    • Recruit, train, and mentor junior planners; foster a culture of proactive problem-solving.
    • Lead cross-functional briefings with creative, production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment.
    • Implement quality control checkpoints and post-event retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.

    Budget Compliance:

    • Own end-to-end budget management: forecasting, cost tracking, reconciliation, and profitability analysis.
    • Ensure compliance with Lagos venue regulations, safety standards (e.g., fire codes, crowd control), and vendor contracts.

    Innovation & Crisis Management (Essential):

    • Develop contingency plans for high-risk scenarios (weather, supply chain, security).

    Vendor & Stakeholder Management (Essential):

    • Negotiate master service agreements with premium vendors (venues, caterers.)
    • Partner with marketing teams to amplify event reach through social/digital channels.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Experience: 5-7+ years in event planning, with 2+ years leading teams for corporate/agency environments.
    • Possible Desired Skills:
      • Mastery of event tools: Project Management software(Asana/Trello).
      • Advanced budget modelling (Excel/Google Sheets) and financial reporting.
      • Flawless client presentation skills (Google Slides/Canva).
    • Industry Knowledge:
      • Lagos/Nigerian vendor networks, venue landscapes, and regulatory requirements.
      • Trends: immersive tech (AR/VR), sustainable sourcing, inclusive design.
    • Mindset:
      • Leadership presence under pressure.
      • Obsessive attention to detail + big-picture strategic thinking.

    Head of Field Operations & Strategy

    Job Summary

    • We’re seeking a hands-on Field Ops Leader with 5+ years’ direct experience scaling revenue in Nigeria’s informal open markets. You’ll build Pika’s field strategy, lead trader acquisition for the Pika App, and own relationships with trade associations like MATAN.

    This role is not for you if:

    • Your background is purely in NGOs, formal retail, or hospitality.
    • You lack trusted relationships with market stakeholders.
    • You haven’t driven tech adoption among informal traders.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own MATAN Partnerships: Serve as Pika’s day-to-day lead with the Market Traders Association of Nigeria (MATAN), unlocking trader networks and co-creating growth initiatives.
    • Drive Trader Acquisition: Design & execute strategies to onboard informal retailersonto the Pika App annually (both MATAN-affiliated and independent).
    • Lead from the Ground Up:  Spend 4 days/week in open markets,coaching field teams, resolving trader issues, and gathering insights.
    • Tech Adoption: Champion app usage by demonstrating real business impact.
    • Revenue-Oriented KPIs: Hit targets fortrader retention, transaction volume growth and B2B partnership revenue.

    Qualifications (Non-Negotiables)

    • Interested candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree
    • 5+ years in Nigeria’s Informal Retail/FMCG Sector: Proven work with market associations (e.g., MATAN), distributors, or informal supply chains.
    • Trader Acquisition Metrics:Track record of onboarding informal retailersor agents.
    • Tech Enablement Credibility:Successfully rolled outdigital tools (POS, apps, CRM) to non-literate audiences.
    • Language & Cultural Fluency:Native-level Pidgin + Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa
    • Commercial Instincts:Experience driving revenue, margins, or market sharein informal trade.
