The Procurement Officer is responsible for executing day-to-day procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods, materials, and services for projects. Procurement Operations
Support the implementation of project-specific procurement plans.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders.
- Ensure procurement requests are fulfilled on time and in line with project schedules.
- Maintain up-to-date records of procurement transactions and supplier information.
Supplier Engagement & Coordination
- Source for qualified suppliers and subcontractors and maintain vendor databases.
- Obtain quotes and evaluate supplier capabilities based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding and documentation.
Tendering Support & Documentation
- Assist in the development of tender documents (RFQs, RFPs, ITTs).
- Support bid evaluation processes and documentation.
- Draft and review basic procurement agreements under the guidance of compliance and legal
Compliance & Record-Keeping
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, ethical standards, and project governance.
- Maintain documentation for audit and reporting purposes (quotations, POs, approvals, contracts).
- Escalate procurement risks and irregularities promptly.
Reporting & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Track and report on procurement status, delivery schedules, and supplier issues.
- Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors, Project Engineers, Finance, and Legal to align procurement efforts.
- Provide procurement inputs into project progress meetings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience, ideally in construction or engineering projects.
- Understanding of construction materials, vendor management, and procurement documentation.
- Familiarity with Nigerian public and private sector procurement procedures is a plus.

Requirements
Educational Requirements
