Collect global financial market data and conduct analysis in order to make investment decisions
Supply information on equities and debt products and advise on which particular equities or bonds to invest in
Keep up to date with market developments, new investment products and all other areas that can affect the markets
Monitor the financial news using specialist media sources
Write research reports and investment ideas to be sent to clients
Ensure that they meet the numerous compliance regulations
Maintain regular communication with clients by telephone, email and in person, including updating fund managers/hedgefunds on investment ideas and summaries of research
Examine, analyse and help in decision- making pertaining to financial investments to businesses and individuals
After studying the data, offer suggestions on how investors should organize their portfolios
Analyze new products, industry trends and the prices on the market
Assess the company's performance.
Desired Attributes
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics or other Analytical field
Provide high-level administrative support to the MD
Act as liaison between the MD and other departments
Perform clerical functions such as preparing draft letters, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, scheduling meetings, and conducted research
Stand as the first point of contact for clients and staff members seeking an audience with the MD on all matters
Assist with special projects
Accompany to meetings occasionally and take minutes
Assist in coordinating the MD's projects
Make all travel arrangements, hotel bookings and payments to vendors on behalf of the MD
Make preparations for meetings including preparation of Word documents and PowerPoint presentations on behalf of the MD
Manage and maintain the MD’s entire schedule
Determine who should be given access to the MD or other Senior level individuals of the firm on a case by case basis
Perform other key Administrative duties at the MD’s request
Maintain absolute confidentiality with regards to all information derived from the MD
Also carry out numerous personal and official errands on behalf of the MD
Desired Attributes
A bachelor's degree from a reputable university
A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple deliverables concurrently in a fast paced environment
Strong knowledge of technology and software
High proficiency of computer usage
Highly Organized
