    Head of Operations

    Job Description

    • The Head of Operations is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operational activities of the bank.
    • The role ensures effective systems, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and service delivery that support the bank’s growth and sustainability.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and manage branch operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with policies.
    • Oversee cash management, account operations, funds transfer, and transaction processing.
    • Ensure compliance with CBN, NDIC, AML/CFT, and other regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for smooth workflow.
    • Coordinate IT systems and digital platforms to enhance service delivery.
    • Ensure effective internal controls, risk management, and operational audits.
    • Monitor customer service standards and resolve escalated service issues.
    • Lead process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks.
    • Prepare and present operational reports to management and the Board.
    • Supervise and mentor operations staff to build capacity and ensure accountability.
    • Vault management

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Master’s degree (MBA, MSc) or professional certifications (CIBN, ACIB, ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 7–10 years’ banking/microfinance experience, with at least 3 years in an operations management role.
    • Strong knowledge of banking operations, regulatory guidelines, and risk management.
    • Experience with digital banking systems, core banking applications, and fintech integration is an advantage.

    Managing Director

    Job Purpose

    • The Managing Director (MD) is responsible for providing overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight of the Microfinance Bank.
    • The MD ensures the bank’s profitability, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and alignment with its vision of promoting financial inclusion.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the bank in line with policies approved by the Board of Directors.
    • Formulate, implement, and monitor business strategies that drive profitability, sustainability, and growth.
    • Ensure compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), NDIC, and all other regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, customer satisfaction, and adherence to best practices.
    • Lead risk management practices, including credit portfolio quality, liquidity, and operational risk control.
    • Drive innovation and digital transformation to improve financial services delivery and customer reach.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, regulators, shareholders, and the community.
    • Prepare and present periodic operational and financial reports to the Board of Directors.
    • Champion corporate governance, transparency, accountability, and ethical business practices.
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate management and staff to achieve organizational objectives.
    • Identify and develop new products, services, and markets that align with the bank’s mission of financial inclusion.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc) and/or professional certifications (ACIB, ICAN, ACCA, CFA, CIBN) will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 10 years of banking experience, at least 5 years in senior management positions within microfinance, commercial, or development banking.
    • Strong understanding of CBN regulations, microfinance operations, credit administration, and financial management.
    • Proven track record of business growth, leadership, and strategic execution.
