    Electronics Engineer (Heavy-Duty Equipment & Machinery)

    Primary Objective

    The primary purpose of the position is to repair/maintain the electronic systems of mobile and fixed heavy-duty equipment and machinery, i.e., Forklifts, Bobcats, Scissors Lifts, Generators, Telehandlers, Cherry Pickers, Scrapers, Lathe Machines, Pressing Machines, Cranes, and other heavy-duty equipment not limited to these manufactures JLG, CATERPILLAR, LINDE, HELI, FUD POLAND, LIEBHERR, TEREX, AVANT TECHNOLOGY.

     Responsibilities

    • Troubleshoot reported electronics problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
    • Diagnosing/troubleshooting faults using computerized testing equipment.
    • Repairs, installs, and inspects electronic systems as directed through diagrams, drawings, or specifications.
    • Develops and maintains records related to electronic and electrical equipment and send relevant reports.
    • Perform timely planned preventive maintenance, thereby, reducing corrective maintenance to the barest minimum.
    • Installing and checking the functionality of new electronic systems.
    • Troubleshoot and rectify faults on AC/DC drives (Travel Master, Nova Master, Schneider, Vacon, Parker, ABB, and SIEMENS).
    • Troubleshoot Electrical motors and MCC's (Motor Control Centre).

    Skills and Abilities

    • Bachelor or HND in Electronics Engineering or its equivalent.
    • Working experience of minimum of 8 years in the electronics systems of heavy-duty equipment and machinery.
    • Profound experience in the use of electrical/electronic schematics to repair heavy-duty equipment and machinery.
    • Profound experience in the use of hydraulic schematics to repair heavy-duty equipment and machinery.
    • Possesses relevant technical certification, qualification, and training for heavy duty maintenance.
    • Conversant with Electrical motors and MCC's (Motor Control Centre).
    • Knowledge of AC/DC frequency drive units.
    • Knowledge of PLCs.
    • Use and apply PTW systems
    • Conversant with the application of risk analysis and toolbox talks
    • Able to work with less supervision.
    • Skill in both verbal and written communication.
    • Can do attitude to work.
    • Good safety practices
    • Compliance with electrical regulations, codes & standards.
    • Knowledge Hazardous Area Regulations.
    • Computer literacy and data entry experience
    • Ability to work with a team.

    Hydraulic Specialist

    Primary Objective

    Responsible for maintaining and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems of the equipment {i.e., Cranes (Liebherr, Terex), Forklifts (Heli, Linde, CAT, Hyster), Cherry Picker & Scissor Lift (JLG), Telehandler (JCB, CAT), Bobcat, Compressors (Atlas Copco), Trucks & Trailers (Volvo, Mack, Iveco), Grader & Roller Compactor (CAT), Scrapper (Avant)and other heavy-duty equipment not limited to these manufactures.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintenance and repair of hydraulic equipment and systems are performed.
    • Rebuilding and testing hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, winches, etc..
    • Organizing hydraulic pump, motor and valve parts.
    • Reading and assembling equipment from prints and drawings.
    • Diagnose problems, prepare estimates for repairs
    • Performing inspections of equipment to ensure that it is operating properly
    • Troubleshooting problems with equipment to determine causes of failures and recommending solutions
    • Performing routine maintenance on hydraulic equipment to ensure its continued operation
    • Installing hydraulic equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders
    • Creating hydraulic schematics to illustrate fluid flow pathways
    • All applicable reports and logs as required by direct supervisor are maintained.

    Skills and Abilities

    • BSc/HND Mechanical Engineering in the field of machine components, hydraulic (Mechatronic or similar)
    • At least 5 years of experience.
    • Working knowledge of open and closed loop hydraulic systems.
    • Knowledge and understanding of all hydraulic components
    • Good troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve hydraulic problems.
    • Reading hydraulic schematics with a good understanding of symbols.
    • Excellent attitude toward safety and demonstrated commitment to a safe work environment.

    Auto Electrician

    Primary Objective

    The primary purpose of the position is to repair and overhauls electrical systems in automotive vehicles, such as car, buses, and truck and equipment. Install, maintain, identify faults, and repair electrical wiring and computer-based equipment in vehicles and equipment.

    Responsibilities

    • Determines the malfunction of auto-electrical system by visual inspection of vehicle / equipment and coordinate to workshop and site in‐charge on day-to-day activities.
    • Familiar with adjusting ignition timing and measures and adjusts distributor breaker‐point gaps.
    • Repairs or replaces defective wiring in ignition, lighting, air‐conditioning, and safety control systems, can fill‐up, control and update the maintenance records on daily basis
    • Auto Electricians also install electrical equipment such as gauges, lighting, alternators, and starter motors in cars, and install electrically operated accessories.
    • Familiar to test instruments and read circuit diagrams to find electrical faults, adjust engine control systems and timing to make sure vehicles are running at peak performance.
    • Knows to test, recondition, and replace faulty alternators, generators, starter motors, and related items such as voltage regulators and batteries, and repair or replace faulty ignition systems, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps, and switches.
    • Good in rewinding motors and electronic wirings.
    • Complies with the highest level of safety at workshop and site to avoid any type of accidents.
    • Provides detailed reports on jobs done as required.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Minimum of (5) years’ work experience as Auto Electrician for all types of equipment and vehicle both in workshop and on sites.
    • Able to work well within a team-based environment.
    • Good driving Skills
    • “Can do” attitude to work.
    • Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade (including diagnostic tools).
    • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
    • Skill in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components.
    • Skill in both verbal and written communication. Compliance with electrical regulations, codes & standards.
    • Knowledge Hazardous Area Regulations.
    • Computer literacy and data entry experience
