    Deposit Mobilization Officer (Lagos & Abuja)

    Job Functions

    • To support the business deposit mobilization division
    • Source for high end customers and persuade them to deposit money into the bank.
    • Creating and implementing a business plan that will help the organization attract a lot of fresh deposits from targeted markets with known volumes.
    • Fostering and maintaining connections with corporate clients and individual depositors.
    • Support and enhance new methods for rewarding depositors with interest on regular and fixed deposits.
    • Establish contact with both new and existing customers
    • Identify target markets with identified volumes in order to drive high volumes of funds to the Company
    • Advice clients on deposit status

    Qualifications & Key Requirements

    • B.Sc. / HND in Finance, Economics, Marketing or in a relevant field of study
    • Relevant experience in Microfinance or commercial bank is required

    • Proven knowledge and experience selling investment products
    • Targets and result oriented and willing to take responsibilities

    Finance and Internal Control Officer

    Job Description

    • As Finance and Internal Control Officer the successful candidate will be charged with the responsibilities of preparing financial reports and handling.
    • Additionally be involved with administering and supervising the implementation of internal controls in order to make regular recommendations to management for enhancing control environments, minimizing risks while also collaborating with key stakeholders to identify control deficiencies and promote a culture of accountability and integrity across board including with relevant Government Regulatory Agencies.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Preparation of / writing of Financial Reports and carrying out relevant internal control checks to ensure effective discharge of control functions in line with Company’s Internal Control strategies.
    • Examination of GL lines & components
    • Preparation of statutory reports for regulators , expenses and Income accruals
    • Rendition of VAT returns, PAYEE & WHT
    • Provides informative financial reports to management on the activities and performance of the Bank
    • Reviews detailed analysis of Bank’s performance to identify basis for deviations from plans and present result to management
    • Preparation of the Bank’s annual budget and driving the achievement of the targets
    • Preparation of other periodic reports as may be required from time to time
    • Developing and implement internal control frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Conduct risk assessments and internal control reviews to identify areas of potential risk, fraud, or non-compliance
    • Provide training and guidance to employees on internal control principles, policies, and procedures.
    • Stay abreast of changes in regulations, laws, and industry standards related to internal controls and risk management
    • Ensure compliance with KYC procedures in processing new customers in an effort to control fraud and Money Laundering activities

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration, or a related field
    • Being a member of ICAN and or any professional body is a plus
    • Proven experience in internal auditing, internal controls, or risk management roles
    • Strong understanding of internal control principles, practices, and frameworks
    • Analytical and critical thinking skills to assess risks and evaluate control effectiveness
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in auditing and documentation
    • Proficiency in audit tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office suite
    • Integrity, professionalism, and ethical behavior in handling sensitive information and investigations

    Job Description

    • To drive the deposit mobilization arm of the business

    Requirements

    • Must possess current practicing license
    • Should have good clinical acumen (excellent history taking, physical examination, requesting appropriate investigations to arrive at accurate diagnoses)
    • Proficiency in procedures like suturing, IV catheterization, urethral catheterization, ear syringing, cervical cytology, IUCD insertion and removal
    • Should have good documentation abilities to prepare high quality summaries and reports
    • Conversant with technology (previous experience in use of electronic medical record system would be an asset)
