Job Purpose

• To lead the equities trading Business and support the firm’s business development efforts

 Job Responsibilities

 The roles and responsibilities of a stockbroker include:

• Providing investment advice and recommendations
• Monitoring stock market performance
• Purchasing new share issues
• Interpreting financial reports
• Administering and evaluating clients' investment holdings
• Marketing themselves to potential clients
• Researching and analysing market trends and financial data to make informed investment decisions
• Executing trades on behalf of clients and monitoring their investment portfolios
• Staying abreast with the latest financial news
• Providing regular updates to clients regarding the status of their investment portfolios
• Informing clients of new investment opportunities within the stock market
• Daily trade execution
• Management of the firm proprietary trading portfolio
• Prepare weekly and monthly investment performance reports
• Supporting the sales trading team on marketing efforts, presentations and client visits
• Manage basket of selected stocks for profitable investments

 Required Qualifications

• A good Degree qualification in Accounting with 3-4years experience as a dealing clerk of the NGX.

Required Skills:

• Ability to monitor macroeconomic trends 
• Strong numerate and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience equities and Fixed income trading
• Good planning and effective workflow management to meet deadlines.
• Experience in use of trading software, Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with managing high net-worth individuals.
