    Security Operations Manager

    Applicant must reside within Lugbe, Dutse, Mpape, Wuye, Life Camp, Duties, Kubwa and Gwarinpa axis.

    Duties and responsibilities of a Security Operations Managers 

    • Recruit, orient, and train security personnel on appropriate security rules and procedures
    • Develop and enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures necessary for safeguarding lives and property
    • Prepare and control the budget for security operations to ensure delivery of high quality security services
    • Oversee the coordination of staff during an emergency situation
    • Assign guard duties to security personnel to ensure effective distribution of workload
    • Keep track of incidents in order to evaluate them and recommend a course of action
    • Oversee the installation of safety alarms within and around building premises
    • Schedule shift patrol to ensure a building/property is guarded at all times
    • Implement safety and health policies and procedures to protect employees against workplace hazard
    • Develop and manage the processes for securing classified and sensitive information
    • Set up key controls on company equipment and facility to limit access to restricted property
    • Order the supply of security tools and equipment required in carrying out security operations
    • Prepare and present reports of incidents and ways to limit reoccurrence
    • Liaise with public law enforcement agencies and fire department
    • Oversee the planning and coordination of security operations during high-risk events.

    Requirements – Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge – for Security Operations Manager Job

    • Education and Training: To become a security operations manager, you require a high school diploma and relevant experience in a law enforcement field. A Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public administration, or in a related course is often required by some employers. Special training programs in senior security management provides a competitive edge in securing a security operations manager position
    • Organizational Skill: Security operations managers are able to coordinate and direct the security operations of an organization to ensure the safety of lives and property
    • Communication Skill: They are adept at communicating the security requirements of an organization to security personnel
    • Interpersonal Skill: They are able to work with a team of security officers to ensure protection of a property

    Training Officer

    Applicant must reside within Maitama, Asokoro, Kubwa, Lugbe, Mpape, Gwarinpa, Dutse, Wuye, Area 1and Gishiri axis. 

    Respnsibilities of a Training Officer in a Security Firm 

    Within delegated authority, the Security Training Officer will be responsible for the following duties:

    • Reviews and/or provides advice and support to managers and staff, including in agencies, funds and programmes, on security training related matters, i.e. interpretation and application/exceptions of security training standards, policies, regulations, rules and procedures; recommends changes as required.
    • Participates and/or leads security training projects to evaluate the impact of training, redesign existing standards, create new learning tools to address gaps and/or strengthen the management and quality assurance processes, primarily in the area of First Responder training and other specialist security training.
    •  Keeps abreast of developments in various areas of security training and learning, with a focus on First Responder training and other specialized security training.
    • Supervises and monitors the work of the Team Assistants in carrying out all administrative transactions related to security training projects and courses for which the security training officer is responsible.
    • Coordinates and administers examinations and tests related to training certification of professional, general service and other categories of security staff.
    • Identifies and analyzes training, staff development and career support needs for the Integrated Security Workforce and managers with security responsibilities and designs programmes to meet identified needs cost-effectively and in accordance with the Learning and Development Strategy for the Integrated Security Workforce.
    • Provides advice on training, mobility and career development to Integrated Security Workforce personnel, particularly young professionals and staff in the General Service and related categories.
    • Designs, plans, monitors and provides induction orientation, core and specialist learning programmes for security personnel.
    • Assesses training needs, identifies, designs and delivers training programmes to staff and managers with security responsibilities at all levels throughout the United Nations Security Management System.
    • Assists in preparing policy papers, position papers and briefing notes for DSS senior management, the Adhoc Technical Group on First Responder Training, the Standing Committee on Learning and Training, the Inter-Agency Security Management Network and other stakeholders on issues related to security training and examinations and tests, and collects and maintains related data sources.
