About the Role: The Back of House (BOH) Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day Back-Of-House restaurant operations run smoothly. To do so, the BOH manager must ensure that the kitchen is appropriately staffed, proper prep is completed for the day, and manage the pace of service while adhering to health and safety standards. The BOH manager will be responsible for training and managing staff and must be knowledgeable of the respective standards for each. He or she will also be responsible for completing the inventory of food and kitchen supplies and reporting it to the business office. The BOH manager must be committed to team member and guest safety and follow all proper food service guidelines. This is a working manager position.

Expectations:

• Maintain a clean facility and report any maintenance or repair needs as they arise.
• Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, rotated, organized, and easily accessible.
• Execute the maintenance schedule for equipment.
• Complete inventory counts for food and kitchen supplies, receiving them as they arrive.
• Prepare the cook line for service and assist with cooking duties.
• Manage personnel while working closely with the FOH manager to do so.
• Open and close restaurant/back of house following the processes in place.
• Identify and address customer needs, concerns, and issues as identified and communicated by the FOH Manager.
• Report team member and guest injuries to the BOH Director.
• Enforce food standards, quality, and consistency.
• Anything else needed or asked for.

Experience:

• A minimum of two years of experience in the hospitality industry
• Experience in varied kitchen positions, including food preparation, line cooking, frying, and expediting.
• Strong leadership skills
• Possess strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Work well in a fast-paced setting.
• At least 6 months of experience in a similar capacity
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift to
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods.
• must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
• HND or B.Sc. in Hospitality Management or a related field

About the Role: The Front-Of-House manager oversees all operations at our restaurant (except for the kitchen). The job holder will shape our clients' and customers' experiences by maintaining the dining room’s appearance, training quality staff, and ensuring good customer service. Front-of-house managers are "people-people" with strong organization and leadership skills. A talent for conflict resolution is also important for addressing customer complaints and handling staff disputes.

Expectations:

• Training staff to follow restaurant procedures

• Open and/or closing schedule with weekend availability
• keeping track of employees’ hours
• ordering food, linens, gloves, and other supplies while staying within budget limitations

• Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
• Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
• Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
• Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure an even workload for wait staff
• Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties
• Monitor and maintain proper front office operational supplies
• Deal responsibly with payment transactions and maintain strict control of the bills
• Ensure each customer receives impeccable service
• Dealing with customer inquiries and reservations accurately and promptly
• Handle guest situations as they arise in a calm, professional manner
• Assist guests with services and requests, and be always visible to our guests and staff

Experience:

• Prior work as a manager or supervisor
• Success with customer service
• Enthusiastic, quick-thinking, and welcoming personality
• Ability to react to guest requests efficiently and to ensure details are communicated and followed through on in all departments
• Outstanding personal presentation and grooming
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• PC literate with an understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Experience in a similar role within a high-level hotel or fine dining restaurant will be an added advantage
• HND or BSc. in Hospitality Management or a related field
