    Reception Administrator

    Job Description

    • We are seeking to hire a well-organized and versatile Reception Administrator to manage our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of clerical tasks to the highest quality standards.
    • The Reception Administrator will manage the school lobby area and provide positive first impressions along with welcoming guests
    • Your duties include offering teaching and administrative support across the organization.
    • You will coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls/emails
    • To be successful as a Reception Admin, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role
    • You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining school operations.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Greet and welcome guests, parents and students as soon as they arrive at the school.
    • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
    • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
    • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
    • Provide basic and accurate information about the school in-person and via phone/email
    • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
    • Update records such as class schedules and academic transcripts, and coordinate meetings, including parent-teacher conferences
    • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor cards)
    • Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
    • Update calendars and schedule meetings
    • School social media management.

    Requirements

    • Qualification: OND / HND
    • Experience: 0 - 2 years experience.
    • Age: between 18 - 25 years.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
    • Professional attitude and appearance
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
    • Positive attitude.

    Preschool Teacher

    Job Description

    • Guide children (1 - 21/2 years) in Montessori and Early Years activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.

    Essential Functions

    • Welcome children and parents enthusiastically at the beginning and end of the day with a warm smile.
    • Prepare lesson plans according to the School Procedure, policies, and curriculum
    • Provision of a variety of creative and self-made materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
    • Teach basic skills such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills.
    • Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order.
    • Read books to entire classes or to small groups and promote reading habits
    • Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
    • Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
    • Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians, and child development specialists.
    • Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development.
    • Attend to children's basic needs by feeding and dressing
    • Prepare reports on children and their activities as required by the administration.
    • Select, store, order, issue, and inventory classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.
    • Be available for staff meetings and contribute to the successful operation of Cindy Oaks.

    Job Requirements
    The candidate must have:

    • NCE or a Degree in Child Development or Early Education and at least one year of experience teaching in a part-day or full-day program for infants and toddlers OR
    • A Child Development Associate certificate and at least three years of experience teaching in a part-day or full-day program for infants and toddlers.
    • Ability to use Microsoft & internet is essential
    • Phonics training and Montessori is an advantage
    • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Music, Arts and / or Swimming, Gardening skills is an added advantage
    • Applicant must reside in Gbagada or within environs..

    Elementary Class Teacher

    Job Description

    • An elementary school teacher is responsible for creating a welcoming classroom environment.
    • They are responsible for creating and executing lesson plans in the classroom.
    • A few of the main duties of an elementary school teacher are creating and editing lesson plans, enforcing classroom and school rules, observe and evaluate student performance, and grade homework and tests.
