    Driver

    Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibility

    Functions / Day to day activities:

    • Cleans vehicle and perform routine checks to ensure it has proper working tools on a daily basis.
    • Refuels vehicle using an approved fuel voucher and records this on the vehicle log sheet timeously.
    • Parks vehicle safely at designated place at the end of each working day not later than 6 pm.
    • Ensures that after hours travels have prior formal approval by the admin department.
    • Ensure vehicle movement log book is filled timely and regularly.
    • To report immediately to the Logistics Officer, all accidents or issues involving Plan International vehicles.
    • Compliance to the motor vehicle and travel policy provisions of TBSF.
    • Analyses/ review and monitor monthly fuel consumption report for all the office vehicle.

    Staff and material transportation:

    • Transports staff and designated people to all areas as instructed and with approved vehicle request forms.
    • Ferries goods to required points as may be directed from time to time.
    • Ensure vehicles have necessary materials such as umbrellas, first aid box, map, fire extinguishers etc.
    • Ensure that all TBSF assets are not left unattended in the vehicle whilst parked.
    • Files in accurately vehicle log books and submits to the Logistics Officer.
    • And other responsibilities assign by the supervisor

    Requirements:

    • Advanced or Ordinary level certificate
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and driving.
    • Good communication, interpersonal and computer skills
    • Class B drivers license. 
    • Work experience in an NGO setup will be an added advantage
    • Any relevant certification in driving/clerical services will be an added advantage.
    • Demonstrate wide knowledge of the road network.
    • Confirmed and demonstrated successful experience in a similar role
    • Be a resident of northeast Nigeria (preferably from the local community)
    • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Be able to communicate effectively in local languages (e.g., Hausa, Kanuri)
    • Have a strong understanding of local customs and traditions
    • Be willing to work in a challenging and dynamic environment

    Desirable skills:

    • A demonstrated ability to multi-task and process information into action in a timely manner
    • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and either Kanuri or Hausa.
    • Interpersonal Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships and maintaining effective communication with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
    • Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to engage and captivate an audience.
    • Organizational Competence: Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

    Enumerators

    Location: Konduga, Biu and Damboa

    Scope of the Work

    • Selected Enumerators/Data Collection Personnel will be profiled and retained in TBSF database and will be working as part of the Monitoring, Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) unit within Borno State to assist in collecting and analysing data and information from the program participants.
    • He/she will be called upon as required for collection of project activity qualitative and quantitative data mostly using digital platform.
    • Retention period will be for 6 months and renewable based on performance and assessment of conduct.

    Location: Borno State

    Objective of the Enumerator Assignment 

    • The field enumerators are primarily responsible for collecting qualitative/quantitative field data and data entry using mobile platforms (e.g., Kobo, Ona or CommCare). They have direct contact with respondents and have a great bearing on the quality of data collected and ultimately on the quality of data output.
    • Different criteria which range from skills, experience in research or any form of data collection, knowledge in certain technical areas, contextual understanding, and familiarity with local language of defined data collection area would be important steps in selection of enumerators for an assignment.

    Responsibilities

    The field enumerators will:

    • Get familiar with data collection tools and protocol.
    • Attend assessment orientation and data collection training.
    • Conduct data collection in within community.
    • Work collaboratively PROJECT TEAM to ensure successful implementation of the survey.
    • Review filled data collection tools to ensure completion and quality of data.
    • Provide guidance and clarifications at data analysis stage regarding collected data as needed.
    • Play a key role in the mobilization of community respondents for the survey.
    • Conduct other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements:

    • Certificate, Diploma, Degree in relevant field.
    • Experience in the field of humanitarian assistance is an advantage.
    • Experience in data collection & statistics is an advantage.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain integrity in performing responsibilities assigned.
    • Trusted by the community, with a certain maturity in making decisions, widely accepted & respected.
    • Possess good leadership skills & the ability to explain instructions clearly.
    • Good knowledge of English, Hausa, & Kanuri within the areas of deployment or redeployment.
    • Respect & promote individual & cultural differences & encourage diversity.
    • Integrity & transparency maintain high ethical standards & act in a manner consistent with organizational principles / rules & standards of conduct.
    • Demonstrates the ability to work in a composed, competent & committed manner & exercises careful judgment in meeting day to day challenges.
