Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer / Architect to conceptualize, design, and oversee the execution of aesthetically pleasing, functional, and brand-aligned spaces. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with creative vision to deliver exceptional interior and architectural designs while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Planning
- Develop innovative architectural and interior design concepts based on client or company requirements.
- Produce architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D visualizations.
- Create mood boards, material palettes, and design presentations.
- Optimize space planning, functionality, and user experience.
- Ensure all designs align with the company's brand identity and project objectives.
Project Management
- Prepare project schedules and monitor design timelines.
- Coordinate with contractors, artisans, consultants, and suppliers throughout project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure design specifications and quality standards are met.
- Resolve on-site design challenges and provide practical solutions.
- Monitor project budgets and recommend cost-effective alternatives where necessary.
Technical Responsibilities
- Prepare construction drawings and detailed specifications.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Review contractor shop drawings and material submissions.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical design requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Meet with clients or internal stakeholders to understand project requirements.
- Present design concepts and incorporate feedback where necessary.
- Provide regular project updates and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation
- Maintain organized project documentation.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material schedules, and design specifications.
- Keep accurate records of design revisions and approvals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline.
- Professional registration is an added advantage.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in architecture, interior design, hospitality, commercial, or residential projects.
