Purpose of the Job:

The role will have responsibility for all areas in infrastructure services including Information security, IT & Enterprise support systems, Datacenter management, Operational intelligence and Cloud management.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

• Designs and implements short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure the organizations infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements with regards to employee usage and application hosting
• Analyses research findings and makes recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts  
• Establishes service and operational level agreements with business units
• Provides inputs to Business continuity and disaster recovery plans with respect to infrastructural implications Acquisition & Deployment
• Reviews RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports and other documentation for infrastructure acquisition projects and associated efforts
• Assists with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures Operational Management
• Functions as Senior System Administrator
• Oversees vendor and service provider relations management (Cisco, RackCentre, IPNX etc)
• Manages and sets priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless implementations, etc.
• Provides reliable, scalable and cost-effective cloud computing resources upon which the rest of the organization can buy/rent and host applications
• Oversees the database platforms upon which applications are deployed to service customers effectively
• Conducts feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
• Defines hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders
• Ensures the integrity of the organizations electronically held information by performing regular reviews and testing of the back-up systems, disaster recovery planning and input into the Business Continuity plan where appropriate
• Provide periodic companywide training to all staff on infrastructure platforms, network, support tools etc.
• Line management/mentoring team of mid/junior infrastructure engineers

Education Qualification:

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Computer/System/ Electrical/ Electronic Engineering/ Applied physics/ Computer Science or a related discipline

Professional Qualification:

Relevant certification

• Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in a similar function

Job Objective/ Purpose of Job:

The DevOps engineer will support new and existing client projects while contributing towards ongoing product innovation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with support and development of infrastructure and security tools.
• Build and manage automated testing and validation for both software and system configuration.
• Build and manage automation pipelines for operational workflows.
• Build and manage automation inside configuration management tools.
• Assist with delivering highly secure and efficient solutions within comprehensive compliance regulations (including ISO27100, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.)
• Assist in integrating diverse technologies in multiple environments to provide monitoring, alerting, and reporting of performance and costs.
• Manage work in an agile operations framework, balancing sprint-based work with daily operational needs.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system outages or performance impact, and communicate findings for ongoing improvement
• Work directly with the development team to test system integrity

Education Qualification:

Professional Qualification:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Relevant certification such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library),

Experience

• Extensive experience as a DevOps engineer on AWS
• Experience managing code repositories, build orchestrations, using Github, Jenkins
• Experience working with AWS services such API gateway, EKS, Cloudfornt Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka, AWS WAF, Database Migration service
• Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring log collection with tools such as Guard duty and CloudWatch
• Experience creating dashboards and configuring alerts with tools like CloudWatch, JIRA, and Slack
• Experience with tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, an ELK stack
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like terraform, packer and AWS cloud Formation
• Proven scripting experience with experience in multiple scripting languages: Python, PowerShell, Bash, PHP, java script, etc
• Experience with building deployment pipelines using jenkins
• Must have experience with Linux infrastructures, database SQL(PostgreSQL and MySQL),
• Experience with configuration management tools such chef, ansible, puppet
