    Internal Audit - Manager

    Job Description

    Audit Planning and Execution

    • Conduct audits of various departments, functions, projects, and entities within the SFH ecosystem, including financial, operational, compliance, and information technology (IT) audits
    • Identify key risk areas and prioritize audit projects based on risk assessment results

    Compliance and Control

    • Ensure compliance with Nigerian, Donor, and international statutory and regulatory regulations and timelines
    • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements to mitigate the risks

    Reporting and Communications

    • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective actions
    • Present audit findings to auditees and senior management, providing insight into risk management and governance
    • Facilitate discussions with management regarding audit findings and necessary improvements

    Team Leadership and Development

    • Provide training and guidance to the internal audit team on auditing standards, techniques, and methodologies
    • Promote teamwork and collaboration within the audit function and across SFH

    Risk Management

    • Assist in the development of risk assessment methodologies and tools
    • Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and recommend adjustments as necessary.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Internal Audit and the executive management to continually improve SFH risk management framework

    Special Project and Investigations

    • Participate in special projects, compliance reviews and investigations as required
    • Collaborate on consulting services to management on matters related to risk and control.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Act as a key point of contact for audit-related inquiries and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
    • This position may require frequent travel to office locations locally where the organization operates..

    Requirements

    Requirements for the role are;

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
    • CISA will give an advantage. Professional certification, such as ACA, ACCA, CFE, or equivalent, will be highly advantageous
    • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in internal auditing, compliance, fraud investigations, and risk management roles
    • Experience or knowledge of compliance and regulations in the not-for-profit, HMO or donor-funded entities is highly desirable

    Programme Youth Innovation and Engagement Officer - Jigawa

    • The Youth Innovation and Engagement Officer serves as a vital link between SFH's programmes and the young people they serve, ensuring authentic youth voice informs all aspects of A360 programme design, implementation, and adaptation.
    • This position champions youth-driven innovation, facilitates meaningful adolescent and youth engagement, harnesses data and youth insights for adaptive programming, and supports programme evolution toward more responsive, youth-centred approaches.
    • The role is specifically designed for a young professional (aged 21-24 years)

    Requirements

    The role will require the following:

    • BSc./BA Communication, Sociology, Economics, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities 
    • Training or hands-on experience in a CSO or CBO or Ex-Corps member in who served at a reputable NGO
    • Six months to one year post NYSC experience in health or development ecosystem; working in health promotion or youth development space.

    Technical:

    • Basic knowledge of M&E

    Programme Gender, Girl Capital and Adaptation Manager

    Job Description

    The job description for this role will entail;

    • The Lead - Gender, Girl Capital and Adaptation provides strategic leadership and technical expertise to mainstream gender equity across SFH's programming, advances girl capital development initiatives, and drives adaptive management processes that strengthen programme quality and impact.
    • The position holder serves as the organisation's subject matter expert on gender analysis, human-centred design, behavioural change, and adaptive programme management, while building internal and partner capacity to implement gender transformative, girl-centred interventions.
    • The role requires a highly analytical professional with deep expertise in gender studies, proven experience leading human-centred design programmes, exceptional research translation skills, and strong training and coaching capabilities
    • Experienced working with governments in a technical advisory role, especially in the use of programme learnings, research, or other communications materials for policymakers.
    • Experience working with donors (including multi-lateral, bi-lateral, foundations, etc.).
    • Demonstrable experience in providing technical assistance, including capacity assessment, training, coaching and mentorship.
    • Ability to generate outcomes beyond the focused programme through strategic collaborations.

    Requirements

    The requirements for this role are detailed as follows:

    • Master of Science (MSc) in Gender Studies, Gender and Development, or a closely related field 
    • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies
    • Certifications on Project Management
    • At least 10 years’ experience working in the public health or development space, with the last three in a managerial role.
    • Experience in advocacy and citizens engagement, and skills transfer on HCD will be an added advantage.

    • Strategic leadership, Team Management and Capacity strengthening.
    • Donors, government, and stakeholders’ management.
    • Thought leadership (Knowledge Management, Technical writing, Documentation).
