    People and Culture Officer 

    Role Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced and people-focused People & Culture Officer to join our team full time. This role will be primarily based in Lagos, Nigeria but remote and will be responsible for overseeing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management, as well as implementing policies, training programs, and engagement initiatives.
    • This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 3 - 4 years of HR or people operations experience who is passionate about employee growth, engagement, and organizational culture.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Leads HR initiatives, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and training & development  and performance evaluation.
    • Develop and implement HR policies and training programs.
    • Manages employee benefits and compensation programs.
    • Lead employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion efforts.
    • Provide conflict resolution and workplace support.
    • Ensures compliance with all relevant labor laws, company policies and best HR practices.

    Required Skills & Qualifications 

    • 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in HR, people operations, or organizational development, preferably in a nonprofit or social impact setting.
    • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
    • Knowledge of labor laws, HR compliance requirements, and best practices in people management.
    • Proven ability to design and implement HR policies, training programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
    • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
    • Experience managing compensation, benefits, and HR systems, with attention to data privacy and security.
    • Ability to navigate conflict resolution and provide workplace support with empathy and professionalism.
    • Familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles and experience applying them in HR practices.
    • Proactive, resourceful, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

    Operations Associate 

    Role Summary

    • We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Associate II to support the smooth functioning of our daily operations. This role will be primarily based in Lagos, Nigeria but remote and will be responsible for overseeing office management, coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and driving efficiency across organizational processes.

    Community Growth and Strategy Lead

    Role Summary

    • We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Community Growth & Strategy Lead to drive the expansion and engagement of She Code Africa’s community. This role will be primarily based in Lagos, Nigeria but remote and will be responsible for leading high-impact community initiatives, building strong stakeholder relationships, and developing innovative strategies to expand our thriving, inclusive community culture.
    • This is an exciting opportunity for someone with at least 4 - 5 years of experience in community management, community strategy who is passionate about scaling impact through community-led growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the execution of high-impact community initiatives and programs.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to drive community growth.
    • Develop and implement community policies, guidelines, and best practices.
    • Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between community members.
    • Represent She Code Africa at external events, speaking engagements, and industry forums.
    • Oversee a team of community managers and manages multiple community initiatives.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • 5-6 years of relevant experience in community management, program strategy, or stakeholder engagement, ideally within a nonprofit, tech, or social impact organization.
    • Proven track record of leading large-scale community initiatives and building sustainable engagement strategies.
    • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams.
    • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with confidence representing an organization at events and industry forums.
    • Experience developing and implementing community guidelines, policies, and best practices.
    • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across diverse groups.
    • Ability to translate community feedback into actionable program or product improvements.
    • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to measuring community growth and engagement.

    Design Associate

    Role Summary

    • We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Design Associate to support the creation of high-quality visual content that strengthens the She Code Africa’s brand and communications. The Design Associate role will be primarily based in Lagos, Nigeria but remote and will work closely with the Media, Marketing and Communications team to deliver engaging visuals that amplify our impact.
    • This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 1–2 years of design experience who is eager to grow their skills in a mission-driven environment.

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Design graphics, infographics, and visual assets for social media, website, and campaigns.
    • Ensure all visual content aligns with She Code Africa’s brand identity and messaging.
    • Collaborate with the social media and marketing teams to create engaging promotional materials.
    • Develop layouts for reports, newsletters, and event materials.
    • Stay updated on design trends and recommend creative enhancements.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • 1–2 years of relevant experience in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field (internships or freelance experience may count).
    • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or Canva.
    • Strong eye for design, layout, typography, and color.
    • Ability to create engaging graphics and infographics for digital and print use.
    • Experience designing content for social media, websites, and campaigns.
    • Basic knowledge of branding principles and ability to maintain visual consistency.

    Partnership & Grants Associate

    Role Summary

    • We are seeking a resourceful Partnership & Grants Associate to join our team for a Full time role. This role will be primarily based in Lagos, Nigeria but remote and will be focused on identifying and securing funding opportunities, strengthening donor and partner relationships, and supporting our fundraising strategy. 
    • This is the ideal role for someone with at least 1-2 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, and donor engagement, someone passionate about using partnerships to drive lasting impact.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in drafting proposals, including outcomes, theory of change, and background.
    • Maintain calendars for upcoming grant deadlines and submission windows.
    • Coordinate with finance and programs teams on budgets and data requests.
    • Ensure timely submission of application materials and attachments.
    • Organize documentation and grant folders for reference and audits.
    • Track and follow up on donor reporting timelines and requirements.

    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
    • Confidence in engaging with stakeholders and donors with professionalism and clarity.
    • Familiarity with nonprofit compliance, reporting, and fundraising best practices.
    • Strong alignment with She Code Africa’s mission and values.
    • Ability to work remotely with a high degree of initiative and independence.
