    Inventory Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing the inventory levels of the organization. This includes recording new stock, maintaining stock levels, conducting audits, and ensuring that all inventory-related documentation is accurate and up to date.

    Job Description

    • Assist in the documentation of all items received (Abuja and local), ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
    • Support the preparation and validation of Goods Received Notes (GRNs) for Abuja and locally purchased items, ensuring timely approval and proper filing.
    • Record items received against purchase orders on SAP, verifying packing and documentation in line with inventory control procedures.
    • Ensure invoices and signed GRNs are correctly attached on SAP before submission to Finance and relevant departments.
    • Notify appropriate departments of items received to facilitate smooth operations.
    • Carry out binning and proper placement of items on shelf locations, ensuring systematic organization and easy retrieval.
    • Raise and register memos for needed store items in alignment with procurement and operational requirements.
    • Prepare periodic inventory reports (weekly, monthly), highlighting stock levels and variances for review by management.
    • Ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures, supporting audit readiness and risk control.
    • Provide support to senior inventory staff and contribute to continuous improvement in store operations.
    • Perform any other task(s) assigned by the Store Manager or Head of Department, in line with operational needs.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc / HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
    • 2–3 years’ experience in inventory management or store operations
    • Basic knowledge of inventory control systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP)
    • Ability to maintain accurate records and handle sensitive information with integrity
    • Good written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and coordination with departments
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
    • Attention to detail in documentation, reconciliation, and reporting
    • Analytical and problem-solving ability to identify variances and support corrective actions
    • Ability to follow instructions and implement directives from senior management
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other inventory management tools

    HR Field Officer

    Description

    • The HR Field Officer will operates primarily in the pit operational area, ensuring the consistent enforcement of all ZCL policies and practices across daily Open cast and Highwall Mining operations.
    • This role involves hands-on supervision of field staff, real-time compliance monitoring, and direct liaison between pit activities and the HCM Unit.
    • The officer plays a critical role in promoting discipline, safety adherence, and workforce coordination during mining activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor and oversee the activities of all personnel working in the pit operational area (Open cast and Highwall mining operations.
    • Conduct unscheduled spot checks to ensure tasks are performed as assigned, and safety protocols are in use.
    • Enforce proper conduct on-site and immediately address any misconduct or report to the HCM Supervisor.
    • Participate in roll calls before and after Highwall Mining to verify attendance and manpower adequacy.
    • Ensure staff allocation aligns with safety, operational plans, and manpower requirements during critical mining operations.
    • Ensure adherence to attendance and safety regulations within the operational environment.
    • Compile and submit daily and weekly reports, specifically on Highwall Mining operations.
    • Support the onboarding of newly employed field workers and offer field-specific orientations.
    • Assist in organizing sensitization sessions in relations to the ZCL Employee Handbook.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by the HCM Supervisor/Head - General Services.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business administration or related fields
    • Minimum of 2 years of HR or field supervisory experience, preferably in a mining or industrial setting.
    • Strong leadership and observational skills.
    • High attention to detail and integrity in reporting.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
    • Ability to work independently in remote or rugged field conditions.

    Mines Planner

    Job Purpose

    • The Mines Planner is responsible for developing, monitoring, and optimizing mine plans to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective extraction of resources.
    • The role provides strategic guidance on production schedules, resource allocation, and compliance with environmental and safety standards, aligning daily operations with long‑term organizational goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop short‑, medium‑, and long‑term mine plans to meet production targets and optimize resource utilization.

    Baseline Competency Requirements

    • B.Sc / HND in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mine planning or mining operations, with proven track record in planning and scheduling
    • Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Surpac, Datamine, MineSched)
    • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and reporting abilities
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
    • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in mining operations
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Team leadership and mentoring abilities.
