Interior Architect at The Startup Place Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Interior Architect to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing functional, aesthetically compelling interior spaces that align with client needs and brand vision.
• This role requires a strong blend of design expertise, technical proficiency, and project coordination skills. You will work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects from concept through completion ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Concept Development

• Develop innovative and client-focused interior design concepts
• Prepare mood boards, presentations, and design proposals
• Produce detailed drawings, layouts, and specifications (2D & 3D)
• Create photorealistic renderings and walkthroughs for client presentations
• Research and recommend materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories
• Ensure optimal space planning, functionality, and flow

Technical Documentation

• Prepare working drawings, construction details, and BOQs
• Develop detailed joinery and furniture drawings
• Ensure all drawings meet industry standards and project requirements
• Interpret architectural drawings and integrate interior solutions

Project Management & Execution

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and consultants
• Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and installation processes
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve design/technical issues
• Manage procurement of materials and finishes
• Ensure projects are delivered within budget and scope

Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and standards
• Conduct inspections to maintain design integrity and execution quality
• Review contractor work to ensure alignment with approved designs
• Identify and resolve on-site challenges proactively

Client Relationship Management

• Engage with clients to understand project requirements and expectations
• Present design ideas and incorporate client feedback effectively
• Provide professional advice on design feasibility and cost implications
• Maintain strong client relationships for repeat business and referrals

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies
• Introduce innovative design solutions and sustainable practices
• Contribute ideas to improve design processes and project delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
• 2–3 years of relevant experience (Entry-level candidates with a strong portfolio may be considered)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong 3D visualization and rendering skills
• Good understanding of construction methods and detailing
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in 3ds Max is an added advantage
