    Insurance Underwriter

    Job Summary:

    • The candidate must be a focused, efficient, result-oriented individual with a strong leadership personality and communication skills.
    • He/She must have the ability to multitask and simultaneously work on multiple engagements. 

    Duties:

    • Negotiation of rates & terms for new and existing policies.
    • Underwriting
    • Proactive response to clients
    • Prompt resolution of clients’ requests and queries
    • Remarketing of clients portfolio
    • Design and placement of insurance programmes for clients with approved insurers.
    • Preparing quotations, placement slips, and cover notes for new businesses and renewals.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Arts, Law, Engineering or any related field.
    • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in a reputable Insurance Brokerage Company.
    • Associate of CII Nigeria or CII London will be an added advantage.
    • Client relationship management skills is desirable.
    • Possess vast knowledge in all classes of insurance and products 
    • Strong Communication and Leadership Skills
    • Good Presentation and Analytical skills
    • Good Business Acumen
    • Good Negotiation Skills

    Talent Acquisition Officer

    Job Objectives

    • Provide input to ensure that teams consist of diverse, qualified individuals
    • Ensure that staffing needs are being met
    • Devise and implement sourcing strategies, such as an employer branding initiative, to build pipelines for potential applicants
    • Create and implement end-to-end hiring processes to ensure a positive experience for candidates

    Job Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria
    • Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
    • Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
    • Compile lists of the most suitable candidates by assessing their CVs, portfolios, and references
    • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline
    • Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources Management or similar field
    • Minimum of three years of experience in a talent acquisition or similar role
    • Professional credential, such as HR Certification Institute
    • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems
    • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
    • Proficiency with social media, CV databases, and professional networks
    • Experience in using LinkedIn Talent Solutions to proactively source candidates
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
