Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for unions; lead collective bargaining, grievance handling, and proactive conflict resolution to maintain uninterrupted site operations.
Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment for technical M&E and site-based roles, performance management, and career development.
Manage office facilities, procurement of office supplies, and the company’s fleet (including maintenance and driver management).
Ensure all HR and administrative activities strictly adhere to Nigerian Labor Laws and industry-specific safety/engineering regulations.
Provide high-level HR metrics and administrative cost reports to senior management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (Professional certifications like CIPM or PHRi are a significant plus).
Minimum of 8 years of HR experience specifically within the construction or related heavy-industry field.
At least 5 years of proven experience maintaining industrial harmony within a unionized environment.
A proven track record of managing both HR and Administrative departments in a multinational or regional setting.
Exceptional negotiation skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage complex logistics across multiple project sites.
They are seeking a rigorous and proactive Safety Manager to lead the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department. This role is designed for a vigilant leader who balances technical safety knowledge with the ability to influence behavior and maintain a "Safety First" culture across complex engineering sites. You will be the custodian of workplace safety, ensuring every technician and engineer returns home safely while maintaining strict compliance with local and international standards.
The ideal candidate must be an expert in hazard identification and risk control, particularly within the mechanical and electrical (M&E) and construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and update comprehensive safety policies and emergency response plans tailored to M&E and construction site activities.
Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments to identify hazards; implement corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness.
Ensure all operations meet Nigerian statutory requirements and international safety standards such as OSHA and NIOSH.
Lead the investigation of all near-misses and accidents, identifying causes and preparing detailed reports for senior management.
Organize and facilitate safety induction and specialized training (e.g., working at heights, electrical safety) for all staff and subcontractors.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
Must hold relevant professional certifications (e.g., NIOSH, OSHA, or NEBOSH IGC).
Minimum of 8 years of dedicated experience in construction safety management.
Deep knowledge of safety regulations and hazard control measures specific to mechanical and electrical systems.
Proven ability to manage safety teams and influence site managers to prioritize HSE protocols in a high-pressure environment.
