    Guest Service Agent

    Job description

    • To greet and welcome the guests who are checking in, arrange for the collection and storage of their luggage
    • To pay close attention and carefully listen to the needs of the guests and to attend to their special needs
    • If there are any issues, he/she is responsible for apologizing in an empathetic manner and then sorting out the problems in a calm and quiet manner
    • To keep a track of the current hotel accommodations and ensure that the hotel registration procedures are carried out appropriately
    • To promptly respond to the customer's inquiries and demands, and make arrangements for the subsequent services by coordinating with the other department
    • To promote the products and services of the hotel, so that there is maximum flow of cash ensuring better business growth

    In addition to these responsibilities,

    • He/she keeps himself abreast with the latest developments in the hotel and reviews and updates it.
    • He is also responsible for ensuring that the bills generated are posted to appropriate accounts by co-ordinating with the accounts department.
    • He/she is responsible for obtaining the necessary and relevant approvals and signatures and makes sure that the rules and regulations are being followed by them.
    • He/she makes sure that the registrations are in accordance with the management's practices

    Waiter

    Responsibilities

    • Serve food and drink orders
    • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
    • Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
    • Deliver checks and collect bill payments
    • Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
    • Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties).
    • Follow all relevant health department regulations
    • Provide excellent customer service to guests
    • Greet and escort customers to their tables
    • Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
    • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
    • Inform customers about the day’s specials
    • Offer menu recommendations upon request
    • Up-sell additional products when appropriate
    • Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software,order slips or by memorization
    • Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
    • Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff.
