    Motion/ Graphic Designer

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a Mid-level Motion/Graphic Designer to join our design team to continue our growth and strengthen our brand presence. In this position, you will support Bumpa’s marketing and branding initiatives by creating compelling motion and static visual content that resonates with our audience. The role requires a blend of creativity and professionalism, the ideal candidate is a visual storyteller proficient in both motion graphics and graphic design. You will work closely with our growth and product teams to produce high-quality animations, graphics, and multimedia materials that align with Bumpa’s brand guidelines and corporate standards. Your work will directly contribute to our mission by shaping how we communicate our value to entrepreneurs across Africa.

    Job Details

    • Graphic Design & Motion Graphics: Create engaging motion graphics (smooth animated videos, GIFs, and micro-interaction for UI/UX design) and graphic designs for marketing campaigns, social media, print, email newsletters, and our website, ensuring all content aligns with Bumpa’s brand identity and messaging.
    • Video Editing and Post-Production: Edit videos content, add captions, smooth effects and optimize for different platforms.
    • Campaign Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product and content teams to develop creative concepts and visual design assets that aligns with project goals and showcase Bumpa as design-led brand.
    • Brand Consistency: Support branding initiatives by maintaining a consistent visual style across all materials. Refine and uphold our visual identity in every project, ensuring a polished and professional look.
    • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept through execution. Meet deadlines and deliver polished final assets for campaigns, with strong attention to detail and quality control.
    • Feedback & Iteration: Incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to iterate on designs. Ensure final outputs meet creative standards and business objectives while staying true to the brief.
    • Innovation & Trends: Stay up-to-date with design trends, animation techniques, and emerging tools. Continuously bring fresh ideas to the team and innovate on visual content to keep Bumpa’s marketing materials cutting-edge and engaging.

    Requirements

    • 4+ years of professional experience in motion graphics and graphic design. (Mid-level experience in creating marketing or branding content is strongly preferred).
    • Bachelor’s degree in any related field is preferred (or equivalent professional experience in design).
    • Strong portfolio showcasing your motion design skills (e.g. animated videos, motion graphics) and graphic design work (e.g. social media graphics, posters, branding, and print materials). Demonstrated ability to tell a story visually and maintain brand consistency.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite especially Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma for design collaboration is a must.
    • Proficiency in video editing and post production techniques.
    • Strong understanding of visual design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, and fluid animation techniques. Ability to create visually appealing content that adheres to brand guidelines.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present ideas clearly.
