    Graduate Sales Engineer

    Job Summary:

    • The Graduate Sales Engineer is a key entry-level role designed to develop future commercial and technical leaders. You will support the sales team in promoting and selling our range of generator sets and power systems. This role combines technical understanding with commercial acumen, requiring you to assist in client consultations, prepare technical proposals, and contribute to achieving sales targets within an assigned region or segment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Technical Sales Support:

    • Assist Senior Sales Engineers in conducting site surveys to assess customer power requirements, load profiles, and installation conditions.
    • Support in the preparation of detailed technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
    • Develop a strong understanding of JMG’s generator product portfolio, including specifications, features, benefits, and applicable standards (e.g., ISO 8528, NFPA 110).
    • Create basic technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment layout plans using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).

    Customer Relationship & Business Development:

    • Support the sales process from lead generation to post-sale follow-up.
    • Accompany senior staff on client visits, presentations, and negotiations.
    • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, contractors, and consultants.
    • Respond to routine technical and commercial inquiries from customers promptly and professionally.

    Project Coordination:

    • Act as a liaison between the sales department and internal teams (engineering, project management, service, and logistics) to ensure smooth order handover and execution.
    • Track order status and keep clients informed on project milestones.
    • Assist in the preparation of project documentation and close-out files.

    Market Intelligence & Learning:

    • Conduct market research to identify new prospects, trends, and competitor activities.
    • Undergo continuous product and sales training to become a subject matter expert.
    • Participate in industry seminars, exhibitions, and training sessions as required.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Essential:

    • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. / B.Eng. / B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Mechatronics.
    • Experience: 0-2 years of post-graduate experience. Previous internship or student work experience in sales, engineering, or the power generation/automotive industry is a strong advantage.

    Technical Skills:

    • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn complex engineering products.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Basic understanding of electrical systems (voltage, current, phases, kVA/kW) and mechanical systems (engines, cooling systems).

    Personal Attributes:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong presentation and report-writing skills.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
    • Result-oriented with a strong customer service focus.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
    • Willingness to travel locally for client visits and site surveys.

    Highly Desirable (Advantageous):

    • Certification: Student member of a recognized engineering body (e.g., COREN in training, NSE).
    • Software: Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software.
    • Industry Knowledge: Basic knowledge of diesel engines, alternators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and control panels.
    • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated interest in sales, marketing, or business development through coursework or projects.

    Business Development Manager - HVAC

    Job Overview:

    • We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of our HVAC division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving sales to achieve ambitious revenue targets. This role requires a deep understanding of the HVAC market, a proven track record in B2B sales, and the ability to convert technical solutions into commercial success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Business Growth:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the HVAC division to secure new projects and clients.
    • Identify and target key market segments (e.g., commercial real estate, healthcare, data centers, industrial facilities, luxury residential).
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities.

    Sales & Revenue Generation:

    • Generate and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.
    • Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals, presentations, and bids for major HVAC projects (design-build, retrofit, maintenance contracts).
    • Lead contract negotiations to secure profitable and sustainable agreements.
    • Achieve and exceed annual sales and revenue targets.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including architects, consultants, contractors, facility managers, and property developers.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying upselling/cross-selling opportunities.
    • Represent JMG Limited at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the Engineering, Design, Project Management, and Operations teams to ensure project feasibility, accurate costing, and seamless handover.
    • Provide market intelligence and client feedback to the leadership team to inform service development and operational improvements.
    • Mentor and support junior sales staff or estimators as required.

    Marketing & Brand Development:

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted promotional materials, case studies, and digital content for the HVAC division.
    • Enhance JMG's brand positioning in the HVAC market as a trusted, innovative, and reliable partner.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 7-10 years of proven business development or sales experience, specifically within the HVAC, MEP, or construction industry.
    • Demonstrable track record of successfully securing large-scale HVAC projects (e.g., chilled water systems, VRF installations, building automation, ductwork contracts).
    • Established network of contacts within the local/regional AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, principles, and relevant codes/standards (ASHRAE, etc.). Ability to engage with technical teams and clients on solution design.
    • Sales Mastery: Expert in consultative selling, lead generation, proposal writing, negotiation, and closing complex deals.
    • Financial Literacy: Proficient in developing budgets, financial models, and pricing strategies.
    • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term strategies while executing short-term tactical plans.
    • Drive & Resilience: Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to thrive in a competitive environment.
    • Technology: Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), MS Office Suite, and project estimation tools.
