    Electrician

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.
    • Maintain motors, pumps, control panels, MCCs (Motor Control Centers), and switch gear.
    • Check and maintain lighting systems, cables, and earthing systems.
    • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in plant equipment and systems.
    • Attend breakdowns promptly to reduce plant downtime.
    • Replace faulty components such as contactors, relays, breakers, and wiring.
    • Install new electrical equipment, panels, and wiring as required.
    • Support plant upgrades, modifications, and expansion projects.
    • Ensure installations comply with electrical standards and safety codes.
    • Assist in maintaining control systems, sensors, and basic instrumentation wiring.
    • Check connections for PLC panels, field instruments, and control circuits (as required).
    • Follow all electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices.
    • Ensure safe handling of electrical tools and testing instruments.
    • Use appropriate PPE while working.
    • Report on electrical hazards and unsafe conditions immediately.
    • Record maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and repairs.
    • Maintain equipment maintenance logs.
    • Assist in preparing preventive maintenance schedules.
    • Coordinate with operations and mechanical teams during maintenance work.
    • Support plant shutdowns and major maintenance activities.

    Requirements
    Qualifications:

    • Technical Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related trade.

     Experience: 

    • 6–8 years’ experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in water treatment, process plant, or utilities.

    Certifications

    • Any Valid electrician license or certification (as per local regulations).

    Selection Criteria:

    • Expert knowledge of motor control and protection systems.
    • Should have proven ability to perform electrical fault finding and troubleshooting.
    • Should possess required experience with motors, control panels, MCC, PCC, and switchgear systems.
    • Should possess required experience in cable laying, termination, and panel wiring.
    • Should have proven ability and Familiarity with electrical testing tools and instruments
    • Should have good basic understanding of PLC panels and control circuits.
    • Should have good basic knowledge of electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout.
    • Should have proven ability to respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs.

    Mechanical Shift Supervisor - Water Treatment Plant

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Supervise and control day-to-day plant operations during the assigned shift.
    • Ensure all treatment processes (filtration, chemical dosing, pumping, etc.) operate efficiently.
    • Monitor plant equipment, systems, and process parameters.
    • Maintain required production output and operational efficiency.
    • Ensure treated water meets regulatory and project quality standards.
    • Monitor water quality parameters such as pH, turbidity, chlorine residual, TDS, and conductivity.
    • Adjust chemical dosing and process settings based on lab results and plant readings.
    • Coordinate with laboratory personnel for regular testing and reporting.
    • Lead, guide, and supervise plant operators and technicians on shift.
    • Allocate duties and monitor staff performance.
    • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Provide on-the-job support and technical guidance.
    • Identify operational abnormalities and equipment malfunctions.
    • Take immediate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
    • Coordinate with maintenance teams for breakdowns and preventive maintenance activities.
    • Record and report all faults and corrective actions taken.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
    • Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Promote safe handling, storage, and use of chemicals.
    • Report safety incidents and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
    • Maintain accurate shift logs and operational records.
    • Record production data, chemical consumption, equipment status, and incidents.
    • Prepare shift reports and communicate key issues during handover.
    • Maintain documentation as per audit and regulatory requirements.
    • Liaise with maintenance, laboratory, and management teams.
    • Escalate major operational or safety issues to higher management.
    • Support plant audits and inspections when required.

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

     Experience: 

    • 10–12 years’ experience in water treatment plant operations.
    • Experience in supervising plant operations is preferred.

    Certifications

    • Any suitable certifications in the field or related field.

    Selection Criteria:

    • Expert knowledge of RO, UF, DM, filtration, clarifiers, and chemical dosing systems.
    • Should have proven ability to monitor and control plant operating parameters and Understanding of water quality standards and lab parameters.
    • Should possess required experience in shift-based plant operation and supervision.
    • Should have good Hands-on experience in process troubleshooting and emergency handling.
    • Should have good basic knowledge of SCADA/PLC systems.
    • Should have knowledge of plant safety procedures and chemical handling.
