Job Summary 

• Ellasot Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a reputable Oil &Gas company seeking a competent,detail-oriented Electrical Technician to join its operations team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• They install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• They ensure systems operate safely and efficiently while complying with electrical codes and safety standards.
• This role is suited for professionals with Electrical & Maintenance experience within the Oil and gas servicing sector who can effectively minimize downtime and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the good functioning and maintenance of all circuit breakers, necessary routine maintenance, and ensure 100% availability of the plant systems
• Ensure the availability of Electrical spares and other infrastructure for the day-to-day running of the plant.
• Ensure the availability of spares, tools, and equipment for maintenance
• Timely resolution of all Electrical TMs
• Responsible for carrying out daily and weekly routines on Electrical maintenance activities.
• Conduct routine inventory checks of electrical spares to ensure availability and readiness.
• Responsible for team performance, reviews, training, and development needs
• Ensure proper documentation of routine activities and submit the same to the supervisor when due.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols before embarking on any maintenance activities through proper permit-to-work documentation.
• Perform other activities as may be assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• OND in Electrical Electronics, or Trade Test
• 0-3 years of experience in the Engineering field and the power industry
• Technical knowledge of switch gear, operation, and maintenance of low- and medium-voltage systems
• Knowledge of electric power generation
• Applies operations excellence tools and techniques to improve efficiency
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures for Electrical maintenance
• Knowledge of basic safety requirements and environmental aspects
• Computer literacy
• Good manual dexterity and attention to details

Experience:

• Oil and gas/ Power House: 0-3 years (Required).

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• They install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• They ensure systems operate safely and efficiently while complying with electrical codes and safety standards.
• This role is suited for professionals with Electrical & Maintenance experience within the Oil and gas servicing sector who can effectively minimize downtime and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure I&C systems operation & availability by maintaining high availability and performance of all instrumentation, control, and automation systems
• Support continuous plant operations through accurate measurement, monitoring, and control of process parameters.
• Execute routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities for I&C systems.
• Diagnose and resolve I&C faults and minimize response time to I&C issues.
• Responsible for carrying out daily and weekly routines on Electrical maintenance activities.
• Support initiatives to improve MTBF and reduce MTTR.
• · Apply root cause analysis techniques to recurring faults, implement corrective actions, and contribute to equipment lifecycle cost optimization through effective maintenance practices.
• Ensure availability and proper use of I&C spares, tools, and maintenance infrastructure.
• Support the preparation of maintenance reports and technical documentation as required
• Undertake any other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• OND / HND in Electrical Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Control Engineering, Computer Engineering /Science, or related field
• 3 - 5 years of experience in the Engineering field and the power industry
• Understanding of equipment operation, failure history, and maintenance requirements.
• Knowledge of electric power generation
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures for plant instruments and control devices
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures for Electrical maintenance
• Practical experience in calibration of process control instruments and field devices.
• Basic knowledge of control and automation systems; experience with MK V, MK VI, Sentinel, and Egatrol is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with modern maintenance management practices and spares inventory control.
• Awareness of statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to electrical and I&C equipment.

Experience:

• Oil and gas/ Power House: 3-5 years (Required).
