    Director, Home Broadband

    Job Description

    • Driving the overall business including Subscriber Numbers and Revenue for the Home Broadband Business in OPCO.
    • Deliver on Distribution channel buildup for the Home Broadband Business in the OPCO cutting across Own Retail, Device & IT channels and Direct sales.

    Responsibilities

    • Channel Creation and Management: The incumbent needs to create multiple channels for the sale and recharge availability for the Home broadband devices.
    • Technology Understanding:Needs to understand solutions across both Wireless and Fixed broadband. Should be able to guide and drive cross functional teas in this regard.
    • Generating key customer insights on use of home broadband solutions (needs – met and unmet, usage behavior, customer journeys, key pain points, services / content needed etc).
    • Developing product / service proposition based on the customer insights and current market landscape in conjunction with the group teams.
    • Partner Identification and onboarding: Create a clear financial model for prospective partners and support their infrastructure development for fulfil the customer proposition. a. Across technical, content and distribution channel partners.
    • Developing the Go -To -Market strategy: product, pricing, channel – direct and indirect, promotions.
    • Managing the overall proposition and product roadmap for the Home Broadband portfolios from initial product to more comprehensive offerings. 
    • Overall responsibility of the meeting the aggressive business growth targets and defining the optimal capacity for future growth requirements Ensuring excellent execution of agreed distribution plans.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Technology with in-depth understanding of telecom trends.
    •  MBA in Marketing.
    • 10+ years of experience in leading a highly qualified and experienced team in a highly complex environment.
    • 7- 10 years of in-depth Sales and Marketing experience in the telecom/Handsets/Organised Retail/ Satellite TV industries.
    • Channel Understanding of the various channels used by immediate competition and related industries such as Satellite TV, Computer peripherals etc. 
    • Proven team Leadership skills - Ability to influence and get things done quickly is critical.
    •  Resilience and ability to deliver against stretch targets.
    • Strong entrepreneurial spirit.

    Business Support Engineer

    Job Description

    • The main activities of the RAN Business Support Function will be to support Airtel RAN customer complains quick resolutions and improve revenue.
    • Support in design, monitoring, troubleshooting, wireless networking, configuration, routing, and load balancers. Strong ability to lead a RAN team, communicate with all levels of the organization, and anticipate potential problems, and solutions for potential and occurring issues, is required. This is a fast-paced environment that require quick thinking, and rapid solutions.

    Responsibilities

    RAN Implementation & Support:

    • Maintains and implement RAN “BSC/RNC/Node B/RBS” environment by providing onsite hardware and software system support; identifying system improvements; upgrading, installing, and configuring systems; monitoring system performance.
    • Support to reach quality performance of RAN equipment in Airtel network.
    • Support daily business operations performed by RAN Engineers during the resolution of critical matters.

    RAN Planning & Optimization:

    • Coordinates with Planning, Optimization and Performance section for all required configuration changes.
    • Ensure the availability of RAN network of Airtel 
    • Handling of emergencies outages in RAN domain “BSC/RNC/NodeB/RBS”
    • RAN “BSC/RNC/NodeB/RBS” recovery from major failure.]

    Network Operations:

    • Manage all network operation and maintenance tasks related RAN for Airtel Network.
    • Organize the activities with other stakeholders in order to meet Airtel’s requirements.
    • Implementation of urgent network changes to meet network KPIs and improve revenue.
    • To implement effective monitoring procedures
    • Daily routine maintenance and performance on the network
    • Supporting field engineers in troubleshooting daily Node-B and RBS faults when required
    • BSS support
    • Spare parts management
    • Special operations project delivery.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 8 years work experience in the Telecoms environment
    • Product knowledge within the indicated solution area 
    • Knowledge about Ericsson business processes and organization. 
    • Good knowledge about RAN design and dimensioning. 
    • Good Knowledge on IP Networking and design 
    • Good Knowledge on network evolution and standards bodies 3GPP, ITU. 
    • Must have good and strong telecommunications radio knowledge in RAN domain
    • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills 
    • Ability to draw conclusions from complex technical data 
    • Excellent product/services knowledge within the area of responsibility (including working knowledge) 
    • Knowledge about our competitor’s product/services within the area of responsibility

    Senior Business Manager-Akwa Ibom

    Responsibilities

    Increase Revenue earning customer net additions – Prepaid & Postpaid:

    • Identify and formulate state sales strategies to help Drive gross additions.
    •  Supervise health of acquisitions, compliance on activations.
    •  Oversee activating connections as per the stipulated turnaround times.

    Increase Revenue from the State:

    • Meet the Revenue targets for Prepaid and Postpaid in the State.
    • Focus on revenue growth through Data and Smartphone growth.
    • Focus on revenue growth by driving high value customers through MNP & Postpaid & Smartphone customers.

    Expand distribution Width and Depth:

    Deliver Showroom Experience:

    • Identify and formulate Customer Service Delivery Strategies to help improve Customer Satisfaction scores.
    • Ensure provision of standard Infrastructure at state showrooms.
    • Ensure showroom employees are up skilled in industry training and certifications for the role.

    Achieve Employee Engagement scores in line with the Engagement target for the State Business area:

    • Continuously motivating the front-line employees through leadership by examples.
    • Implement all action plans that will address hygiene issues etc. from engagement survey.

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of varied experience in Sales & Marketing with at least 2 years at middle management level handling independent businesses.
    • Relevant experience in Telecom industry is desirable.
    • Bachelor’s degree in management or related Social Sciences.
    • Master's in Business Administration would be preferred additional qualification.
