Depot Manager at a Reputable Depot and Tank Farm Facility

A reputable depot and tank farm facility in Port Harcourt is recruiting qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of a depot manager

Key Responsibilities 

Depot Manager

• Oversee all tank farm operations including product receipt, storage, transfer, loading, and dispatch
• Ensure full compliance with NMDPRA regulations, approved depot operating procedures, and HSSE standards
• Manage stock control, ullaging, reconciliation, and loss prevention
• Supervise truck loading operations and interface with surveyors and marketers
• Enforce HSSE policies, emergency response plans, and safe work practices
• Coordinate routine inspections, maintenance, and integrity testing of tanks, pipelines, pumps, valves, and firefighting systems
• Prepare and submit operational, regulatory, and management reports
• Liaise with NMDPRA officials, NNPC representatives, surveyors, and other stakeholders
• Lead, train, and manage depot personnel and contractors to ensure efficient and safe operations

Minimum Requirements & Experience

• 5–10 years’ experience in downstream oil & gas depot or tank farm operations
• Minimum of 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related discipline
• Proven experience working in NNPC-certified or NMDPRA-licensed facilities

Mandatory Certifications (Strongly Required)

• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent
• Fire Fighting & Fire Safety Certification (Oil & Gas / Industrial)
• First Aid & Emergency Response Certification
• Tank Farm / Terminal Operations or Petroleum Product Handling Certification
• HSE Level 1–3 Certification (as applicable to oil & gas operations)
