    Depot Assistant (Abuja & Adamawa)

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Depot Assistant to support the smooth daily operations of our book depots in Yola and Abuja. The ideal candidate will assist in inventory handling, order processing, stock arrangement, customer service, and administrative support to ensure efficient depot operations within a fast-paced publishing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receive, inspect, and arrange incoming books and materials appropriately.
    • Assist in stock counting, inventory control, and periodic stock reconciliation.
    • Prepare customer orders and ensure timely dispatch of books to customers and sales representatives.
    • Maintain proper documentation of stock movement, transfers, and deliveries.
    • Ensure accurate shelving, labeling, and organization of books within the depot.
    • Support loading and offloading of books and other materials.
    • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damages promptly.
    • Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly depot reports.
    • Attend to walk-in customers and provide basic product information.
    • Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety standards within the depot.
    • Support the depot officer/supervisor in achieving operational targets.
    • Carry out other administrative and operational duties assigned by management.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess an SSCE/OND/NCE in any relevant discipline with 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, depot, inventory, or logistics operations is an added advantage.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Basic knowledge of inventory management and record-keeping.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, is an advantage.
    • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
    • Candidates must reside in or around the preferred job location.

    Inventory Support Staff

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for a detail-orientated and dependable inventory support staff to support inventory operations at our Ibadan depot.
    • The successful candidate will assist in stock monitoring, record accuracy, stock reconciliation, and inventory reporting to ensure efficient inventory management within the publishing business.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate inventory records for books and other materials.
    • Assist in stock receiving, verification, and proper documentation.
    • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconciliation exercises.
    • Monitor inventory levels and report variances, shortages, or damaged stock.
    • Update stock movement records and inventory databases regularly.
    • Support order fulfilment and dispatch processes.
    • Ensure proper storage and arrangement of books within the depot.
    • Assist in preparing inventory and stock reports for management.
    • Work closely with the depot and sales teams to ensure stock availability.
    • Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and company policies.
    • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the inventory area.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Minimum of OND/NCE in accounting, business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or related fields.
    • 2-4 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse support, or stock control is an added advantage.
    • Good numerical and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic inventory systems.
    • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team.
    • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
    • Candidate must reside in Ibadan or its environs.

    Graphics Designer

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a highly creative, experienced, and detail-orientated graphics designer to join our publishing team. The ideal candidate must possess strong expertise in graphic design, book layout, and publishing production processes.
    • The candidate will be responsible for designing visually appealing and professional publishing materials, including book covers, book layouts, promotional materials, educational content, and other corporate branding materials.
    • The successful candidate must be fast, versatile, innovative, and capable of working under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting strict deadlines. Candidates with prior experience in the publishing industry will have an added advantage.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design high-quality book covers, internal book layouts, educational materials, brochures, flyers, banners, and promotional materials.
    • Handle page layout, typesetting, formatting, and book composition using professional publishing standards.
    • Prepare print-ready files and ensure accuracy before production and printing.
    • Work closely with editors, authors, production teams, and management to achieve desired design outcomes.
    • Ensure consistency in branding, typography, color usage, and visual identity across all company materials.
    • Perform image editing, retouching, color correction, and manipulation where necessary.
    • Create engaging digital and print graphics for marketing and communication purposes.
    • Ensure proper arrangement and alignment of texts, images, illustrations, and other visual elements.
    • Review and proof designs thoroughly to eliminate design and formatting errors before final production.
    • Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
    • Stay updated with current design trends, publishing standards, and creative techniques.
    • Ensure all designs comply with printing and publishing specifications.
    • Support other departments with creative and design-related needs when required.
    • Maintain proper organization and backup of design files and company creative assets.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Minimum of B.Sc. or HND in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Computer Graphics, or any related discipline.
    • 2–3 years’ proven experience in graphic design or related roles.
    • Prior experience in a publishing company is an added advantage.
    • Must possess strong expertise in:
      • CorelDRAW
      • Adobe Photoshop
      • Adobe InDesign
    • Strong experience in book layout, typesetting, and publishing production processes.
    • Ability to create both print and digital designs professionally.
    • Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, spacing, and composition.
    • Must be willing to resume immediately.
    • Candidate must be highly creative, innovative, and productive.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
    • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
