Interior Design Architect at Tuxcan Luxury Limited

Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Design Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing interior architectural concepts, preparing technical and presentation drawings, producing 3D visualisations, coordinating project implementation, and ensuring that projects are delivered in line with client expectations, design intent, and industry standards.

The ideal candidate should possess strong design capabilities, technical knowledge of interior architecture, excellent visualisation skills, and proficiency in SketchUp.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative and functional interior design concepts for residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, and corporate projects.
• Prepare detailed architectural and interior design drawings, layouts, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Create high-quality 3D models and presentations using SketchUp and rendering software.
• Produce mood boards, material boards, space plans, and design presentations for client approval.
• Conduct site surveys, measurements, and assessments.
• Coordinate project designs with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Select and specify finishes, materials, furniture, fixtures, lighting, and accessories.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable building regulations, safety requirements, and project specifications.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Conduct site supervision and monitor project execution to ensure adherence to approved designs.
• Review shop drawings, contractor submissions, and material samples.
• Assist in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement activities.
• Resolve design and construction challenges during project execution.
• Stay updated on emerging design trends, materials, technologies, and best practices within the architecture and interior design industry.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1–4 years of professional experience in interior architecture, interior design, or architectural design.
• Experience working on residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design creativity, technical competence, and completed projects.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SketchUp (mandatory).
• Experience with rendering software such as Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray, or similar visualisation tools.
• Working knowledge of Revit is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of space planning, interior detailing, and construction documentation.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture specification, and interior fit-out processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
