    Continental Chef (with Pastry Expertise)

    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a versatile and experienced Continental Chef with strong pastry-making skills. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who can deliver high-quality continental cuisine while also creating an impressive selection of pastries and desserts. The chef will contribute to the hotel’s fine dining experience, buffets, à la carte service, room service, and special events.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and present a wide range of European and continental dishes for daily service, banquets, and themed nights.
    • Create and bake a variety of pastries, including breakfast viennoiseries, plated desserts, and buffet items.
    • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design menus that align with the hotel’s standards and guest preferences.
    • Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and portion control across all dishes and pastries.
    • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all food preparation areas in compliance with hotel safety protocols.
    • Monitor stock levels, manage kitchen inventory, and assist in cost control and waste reduction.
    • Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff across the hot and pastry sections.
    • Support live cooking stations and guest-interactive culinary events when required.

    Requirements:

    • Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent; additional pastry certification is an advantage.
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel kitchen with both continental and pastry skills.
    • Sound knowledge of global continental cuisine, pastry techniques, and bakery operations.
    • Excellent organizational, time-management, and leadership skills.
    • Commitment to service excellence and guest satisfaction.
    • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple food stations.
    • Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for high-quality food.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills.

    IT Specialist

    • We are seeking a highly skilled, self-driven, and experienced IT Specialist to oversee and manage the full scope of our hotel’s IT infrastructure and systems. This role is central to ensuring our operations run smoothly, securely, and efficiently across all departments. 

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, networks, printers, and software applications. 
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights using tools like Google Workspace Admin. 
    • Ensure the security, privacy, and integrity of systems through firewalls, antivirus, VPN, and backup strategies. 
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across departments promptly. 
    • Maintain and manage Wi-Fi networks, POS systems, and smart hotel tech integrations. 
    • Plan and implement regular system upgrades, patch updates, and preventive maintenance. 
    • Monitor system performance and uptime using diagnostic tools and logs. 
    • Maintain accurate technical documentation and asset inventory. 
    • Liaise with vendors and service providers on repairs, procurement, and support. 
    • Provide day-to-day IT support to hotel staff (ED, OPM, front desk, admin, kitchen systems, etc.). 
    • Assist with basic CCTV, biometric, and access control systems. 

    What We’re Looking For: 

    • Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. 
    • At least 2–3 years of practical experience in a similar role (hospitality industry is an advantage). 
    • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), printers, routers, and Microsoft Office 365. 
    • Familiarity with email hosting, backup systems, remote support tools, and cloud services. 
    • Hands-on experience with network cabling, CCTV, or hotel PMS systems is a plus. 
    • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and customer-service skills. 
    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision. 
    • Excellent communication skills – able to explain technical terms in simple language. 
    • Certifications Cisco are an added advantage.
