    Completions Maintenance Technician

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands. Improves maintenance related nonproductive time ratio of the Product Line's assets within the Maintenance Base, and improves maintenance efficiency and people productivity. Responsible for performing troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and compliant with the reliability centered maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and standard work.
    • Build and pressure test Completions sub-assemblies to well design specifications.
    • Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems to record materials and supplies, labour costs and equipment maintenance performance history such as movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain.
    • Comply with TLM Product Line standards.
    • Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).
    • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts and repair authorization numbers, failures and work-in-process.
    • Ensures self-development through the Workshop Technician Training and Development Program and by continually increasing responsibility and competency within workshop operations
    • Coach and mentor technicians and support on the job training and knowledge sharing within the team
    • Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement and standardization. Ensure the workplace is maintained to the highest standards
    • Proactively manage competency training and development
    • Ensure compliance to SLB standards policies and local regulations
    • Understand and use the maintenance business systems and digital tools.
    • Demonstrate HSE commitment.
    • Become familiar with internal tools to improve HSE and Quality within the location
    • Use valid documentation during all assembly and maintenance (maintenance manuals, SOPs, checklists, standard work)
    • Ensure that all workshop documentation is complete organized and available or archived to the highest standard

    Exposures & Experiences

    • HND in Engineering – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, Materials/Metallurgy.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ shop operations experience in oil field Completions, including leadership/supervisory roles.
    • Hands-on competency with Completions technologies for Sand Management Services, Intelligent Completions, and Liner Hangers.
    • Knowledge of tubulars, material types, connection thread types, termination fittings, and test fixtures.
    • Knowledge of CMMS and Maintenance Methodologies used in the oilfield.

    • Ability to learn quickly and translate learning into practical solutions.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use own initiative.
