    Head, Administration Unit

    REPORTS TO: Head, Corporate Services

    DEPARTMENT: Corporate Services

    EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time

    SUMMARY

    Our client is a manufacturing company based in Nnewi, Anambra State, seeking to hire a Head of Administration Unit. The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the organization. This position provides strategic leadership and oversight across procurement, logistics, inventory management, and facilities management, supporting organizational goals through cost-effective operations, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

    LOCATION

    Nnewi, Anambra State.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead sourcing activities, vendor negotiations, and contract management to secure quality goods and services at competitive rates.
    • Oversee transportation, logistics, inventory management, and distribution to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials and products.
    • Monitor stock levels, implement demand forecasting, and maintain accurate inventory records to reduce waste and optimize resources.
    • Manage office buildings, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure safety, compliance, and operational readiness.
    • Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures for procurement, logistics, inventory, and facilities management in line with regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-control and cost-saving initiatives.
    • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff across procurement, logistics, inventory, and facilities functions, fostering accountability and efficiency.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on operational performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to the Head of Corporate Services.

    PREFERRED

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS/BACKGROUND

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience managing procurement contracts, logistics operations, inventory systems, and facilities management.
    • Demonstrated experience in cost optimization, vendor management, and regulatory compliance.
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple operational functions.
    • Sound knowledge of procurement strategies, logistics planning, and inventory control systems.
    • Good understanding of facilities management practices, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
    • Excellent negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and cost reduction.
    • Relevant professional certifications such as CSCP (APICS), CPSM (ISM), CIPS, or Facilities Management certifications (IFMA, BIFM) are an added advantage.
    • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ relevant work experience.
