    Cashier

    Job Description

    • Cashiers are expected create excellent experience by taking and delivering orders efficiently and with a positive attitude toward both their co-workers and our customers.
    • Cashiers may be knowledgeable about our meat products and assist back-end office in preparing and selling items from out meat counter and retail space.

    Tasks

    • Greet customers warmly when they walk in the door and take orders.
    • Receive payment via cash or POS as quickly and efficiently as possible with a friendly demeanor.
    • Physically and over the phone answer customers’ questions about products availability, costs, make recommendations and assist them with any required information.
    • Continued education about our process and our products – developing knowledge of meat products to best assist customers.
    • Attention to detail and aesthetic presentation of all aspects of the shop from retail shelves to the aesthetic of menu item presentation.
    • Work manual cash register, handling a high volume of customer transactions.
    • Maintain daily cash register and ensure balance of goods sold is equivalent to income received.
    • Maintain records related to sales and prices.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as scheduled.
    • May perform other related duties as requested by management.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of two (2) years experience as a cashier or money receivables role.
    • Appropriate tertiary education - Ordinary National Diploma at the minimum requirement related to Banking & Finance / Business Administration / Accounting, etc would be an advantage.
    • Advanced computer literacy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel & Power point.
    • Experience in computerized inventory systems will be an advantage.
    • Ensure neat appearance as per Company’s dress policy.

    Skills:

    • Excellent customer service - oral and written communication skills.
    • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Ability to enjoy clerical and administrative work with good planning and numeric skills.

    Lead Inventory Officer

    Summary

    • Primarily responsible for handling the material management responsibilities that include acquisition of the store stock – beef products, fish & seafood, poultry products, goat & ram, and its proper distribution within and outside the office.
    • The purpose of this position is to supervise and coordinate all activities pertaining to inventory management and to ensure that optimum levels of inventory are maintained and that it is at par with quality standards. The role holder is responsible for keeping track of the inventory records and making sure that it is accurate.

    Tasks

    • Responsible for preparing the purchase orders, receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels and giving out the supplies from the stock.
    • Involved in preparing the inventories, maintaining the stock records, using manual/computerized systems for entering the records and is accountable for checking the supply invoices with the purchase orders.
    • Prepares the reports on adjustments done to inventories that may be damaged, spoilt, etc., and coordinates the purchasing, inventory and warehousing functions.
    • Finds out sources of supply and is responsible for obtaining quotes from the suppliers as well.
    • To maintain record of receipts as well as issuance of items that are going out of the store to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • To be involved in reconciliation of physical stock with the stock in the system.
    • To oversee that the arrangement of goods has been done in an orderly system within the stock location system so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever there is a requirement. Ensures that the stocks stay physically protected in the cold room.
    • To undertake the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock daily by working closely with the designated staff members.
    • To supervise the offloading process, the subsequent arrangement of goods so that it can be accessed and identified easily
    • In addition to the above duties, the inventory officer is responsible for keeping a close eye on the movement of stock from in and out of the cold room.
    • He/she is involved in preparing the weekly reports of all the activities in the cold room like the consignment received, the quantity of items received, point of collection and dispatch, stacking number, outstanding balance, etc. Provides the best service needs to the existing as well as the new customers and ensures that every customer remains satisfied.
    • Oversees the cycle counting programs for the distribution centers as well as the main store. Develops, maintains, and adopts the best operational procedures and practices for inventory control. Must try to find out discrepancies and determine the root cause for the issue found.
    • Finally, the role holder is involved in performing all the procedures and activities concerned with the management of the inventory and generally works under the supervision of senior personnel and may perform other related duties as requested by management.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in inventory or store management.
    • Appropriate tertiary education - Bachelor’s degree/HND at the minimum requirement related to inventory management, accounting, logistics,etc would be an advantage.
    • Advanced computer literacy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
    • Experience in computerized inventory systems will be an advantage.

    Skills:

    • Ability to demonstrate collaborative work style, strong leadership skills and the ability to take proper decisions and action whenever any difficult situation arises.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Good analytical and organizational skills.
    • Desire to learn every detail related to inventory business and should have the passion to reach out for promotional opportunities.
    • Ability to enjoy clerical and administrative work with good planning and numeric skills.
    • Must have a methodical approach to complete the assigned work and should pay strong attention to detail.
    • Must demonstrate teamwork and good relationship skills to colleagues and third-party vendors.
    • Must be ready to work in a flexible environment.
