Supervise sales  

• Ensure readiness of restocking list on appointed days. 
• Ensure prompt and proper restocking of shelves and freezers. Monitor customer preferences and make recommendations based on  trends. 
• Supervise sales assistants  
• Ensure 100% cleanliness of floor, shelves, freezers, pantry, fridges,  e.t.c. 
• Ensure 100% neat and attractive display of items on the shelves and  display glasses. 
• 100% Monitoring of expiry dates and damages of products in display 100% Monitoring and proper recording of all transfers. 
• Ensure 100% friendliness and courteousness of sales assistants to customers.  
• Ensure 95% control of staff movement, dress code and general  discipline. 
• Ensure 90% of sales assistants comply with company guidelines and  operational policies. 
• Monitor daily and weekly stock purchases and withdrawal, and  inform appropriate deparments about withdrawals 
• Cashier when there are more than (3) three customers on a queue and  there is a vacant system. 
• Handle all customer complaints based on company policies Prompt attention to cashiers at the ring of bell 
• Ensure dayend processing daily.
• Report faulty equipment promptly to operations manager. Deliver prompt and speedy excellent customer service to customers at  all times  
• Ensure 95% of proper checking of all sales assistants at the end of  each shift 
• Monitor record books and ensure 100% proper recording. Receive inventory of transfers and monitor stock from point of receipt  to shelving. 
• Supervises sales and floor operations by providing a neat and  convenient shopping environment. 
• Ensure 100% of items displayed are well protected from pest infection  or other dangers.

MAJOR DUTIES 

1. Customer Service and Brand Ambassador 

Serve as the front desk brand ambassador for FoodCo by being well  dressed and projecting an excellent brand image and friendly personality.  Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a  friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every  customer. 

2. Payments Processing 

• Receive payments and issue receipts and balances for purchases as well  as bagging for customers. 
• Daily Accounting of Cash, POS Transactions, Credit Sales and HelpLine  Sales. 
• Attending to customers promptly and properly with absolute courtesy. Ensuring proper keeping of relevant records and books. 

3. Stock Monitoring and Marketing 

• Monitoring customer preferences, stock and sales of product and  communicate to outlet head. 
• Answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or  policies. 
• Manage customer complaints and direct to appropriate offices for  attention. 
• Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements and  communicate same to customers. 
• Redeem prices during promotions and other discounting mechanisms.

4. Floor Supervision 

• Maintain outstanding understanding of standards of operations as well  as solid product knowledge.  
• Ensure 100% compliance with FoodCo policies and procedures and  sanction when necessary. 
• Supervise floor operations as incidented by daily schedule of operations. 

5. Facility Management 

• Ensure cleanliness of check out points at all times. 
• Maintain hard ware provisions/computer systems for operations and  ensuring updating of the retail software as stipulated in the IT Policy. Switching off all electrical appliances in times of power failure and  closure. 
• Carry out accounting duties as assigned from time to time.
