    Cashier

    MAJOR DUTIES 

    1. Customer Service and Brand Ambassador 

    Serve as the front desk brand ambassador for FoodCo by being well  dressed and projecting an excellent brand image and friendly personality.  Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a  friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every  customer. 

    2. Payments Processing 

    • Receive payments and issue receipts and balances for purchases as well  as bagging for customers. 
    • Daily Accounting of Cash, POS Transactions, Credit Sales and HelpLine  Sales. 
    • Attending to customers promptly and properly with absolute courtesy. Ensuring proper keeping of relevant records and books. 

    3. Stock Monitoring and Marketing 

    • Monitoring customer preferences, stock and sales of product and  communicate to outlet head. 
    • Answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or  policies. 
    • Manage customer complaints and direct to appropriate offices for  attention. 
    • Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements and  communicate same to customers. 
    • Redeem prices during promotions and other discounting mechanisms.

    4. Floor Supervision 

    • Maintain outstanding understanding of standards of operations as well  as solid product knowledge.  
    • Ensure 100% compliance with FoodCo policies and procedures and  sanction when necessary. 
    • Supervise floor operations as incidented by daily schedule of operations. 

    5. Facility Management 

    • Ensure cleanliness of check out points at all times. 
    • Maintain hard ware provisions/computer systems for operations and  ensuring updating of the retail software as stipulated in the IT Policy. Switching off all electrical appliances in times of power failure and  closure. 
    • Carry out accounting duties as assigned from time to time.

    REQUIREMENTS 

    • SMART AND INTUITIVE 
    • STRONG NUMERICAL SKILLS 
    • EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS 
    • EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS 
    • MINIMUM OF B.SC/HND 
    • PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN A RETAIL FIRM WILL BE AN ADDED  ADVANTAGE.
