    Engineer - FTTH Service Assurance. Fixed Broadband

    Mission:

    • To ensure the efficient and high-quality fulfillment of FTTH (Fiber to the Home) services by managing assurance activities across the service delivery lifecycle. This includes validating Fibre Access Terminal (FAT) readiness, ensuring accurate service order processing, coordinating vendor activities, and resolving activation-related issues. The role is critical in maintaining service integrity, minimizing delays, and ensuring installations meet MTN’s technical, operational, and customer experience standards. 
    • The FTTH Engineer also plays a key role in identifying service gaps, recommending process improvements, and supporting compliance with internal policies and industry best practices. By proactively monitoring fulfillment performance and collaborating with cross-functional teams, the role contributes to the continuous improvement of network reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

    Description:

    • Oversee FAT (Fibre Access Terminal) validation and extension, ensuring all terminals are accurately mapped, tagged, and linked to corresponding service orders in alignment with network planning and service delivery standards.
    • Support FAT expansion initiatives by coordinating with planning and rollout teams to ensure adequate coverage and capacity for growing customer demand.
    • Monitor and validate service orders to ensure they meet technical specifications, customer requirements, and SLA timelines.
    • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Network Operations, Sales, Customer Management, and Service Fulfillment) to ensure timely activation of FTTH services and swift resolution of bottlenecks affecting service delivery.
    • Escalate service delays, technical faults, or vendor non-compliance to relevant stakeholders for prompt resolution and follow-through.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of service fulfillment processes, including FAT records, Installation workflows, and exception handling logs.
    • Conduct root cause analysis on failed or delayed activations and recommend corrective actions to improve service reliability and reduce repeat faults.
    • Collaborate with the Home Pass and Infrastructure Planning teams to ensure FAT capacity and fibre optics infrastructure expansion align with rollout targets and customer acquisition goals.
    • Participate in internal audits, compliance checks, and quality assurance reviews related to FTTH service delivery and infrastructure integrity.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and contributing to the development of SOPs, technical guidelines, and onboarding documentation.
    • Provide technical input during internal meetings and contribute to performance reviews, ensuring alignment with operational KPIs and strategic goals.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering Project Management, or related field 
    • Certification in FTTH GPON, CFOT, Any Quality related  Certification
    • Fluent in English 

    Experience:

    • 3-7 years’ experience which includes
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising others
    • Experience working in a medium organization and a multi-vendor network environment, preferably a telecommunications business environment.
    • Field experience in Incidence management, fiber expansion on FTTH network, including quality assurance of fiber deployment.
    • A good knowledge of GPON, LAN and related access technologies.

    Manager - FTTH Service Assurance.Fixed Broadband

    Mission:

    • To lead and oversee the assurance of FTTH service fulfillment across the home connection lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, timely, and scalable delivery of fibreX services. This includes managing FAT (Fibre Access Terminal) validation and extension, coordinating infrastructure expansion efforts, and driving operational excellence across vendor and internal teams.
    • The role is responsible for ensuring service orders are accurately processed, Installations are completed within SLA, and installations meet MTN’s technical and customer experience standards.     Description:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering Project Management, or related field
    • A Management degree is desirable.
    • Project Management Education or Certification (PMP, Scrum Agile, etc)
    • Certification in FTTH GPON, CFOT, Any Quality related  Certification
    • Fluent in English

    Experience:

    6 - 13 years’ experience which includes:

    • 5+ years of experience in telecom infrastructure deployment, with a strong focus on FTTH or fiber optics projects.
    • Experience working in a medium organization and a multi-vendor network environment, preferably a telecommunications business environment.
    • Field experience in Incidence management, fiber expansion on FTTH network, including quality assurance of fiber deployment.
    • Strong understanding of fiber network architecture, planning tools, and GIS.
    • A good knowledge of GPON, LAN and related access technologies. 
    • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Distill the impact of Federal government Medium Term Expenditure framework, monetary and fiscal impact on MTN Nigeria business plan and strategic intent. 
    • Conduct periodic banking industry evaluations for management information and updates, analyzing the impact of the movement of various macro-economic indicators on MTNN resources.
    • Develop a robust Treasury Performance Dashboard that measures the company  performance against the economic variables and its impact on Shareholders returns and defined management benchmark.
    • Coordinate MTNN Investment and liquidity management committee.
    • Analyze and report on investment portfolio strategy, yields and investment instruments, bank relationships, risk management and process metrics. 
    • Coordinate periodic reviews of investment and foreign exchange policies, benchmarking policies with other companies. 
    • Develop, confirm, monitor and report on the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Treasury department.
    • Develop and prepare regular reports for management on the department’s performance.
    • Develop a robust management report to review the viability of MTNN projects and the impact on shareholders’ value. 
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with MTNN Treasury policies and procedures, serving as focal point for business units requiring assistance in treasury related matters. 

    Education:

    • First degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance. 
    • A Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ACT, CIMA, LeveI CFA).
    • An MBA or MSc would be an added advantage.

    Coordinator - Project Core and Backhaul Network NG

    Mission:

    • Responsible for Planning, coordinating and managing the roll out of transmission infrastructure excluding BTS, within MTNN

    • Track and monitor project budget and ensure spending remains within limit as well as minimize inventory

    Engineer - Switch Support Network NG

    Mission:

    • To implement network integration and resolve faults on the core network

    Description:

    • Track, monitor, and resolve faults using approved switch processes and procedures .
    • Monitor performance statistics and generate weekly reports.
    • Conduct an oversight function on other activities within the switch centers.
    • Update switch records such as billing backup, weekly dumps and test load.
