    Aero Turbine Field Specialist

    • As a Field Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing work at a field site, providing quality service to the customer.
    • He/She will provide the planning necessary for the job including instructions to the crew and equipment used.

    As a Field Services Engineer, you will be responsible for:

    • Performing in autonomy some of the Installation and/or Maintenance activities of IET Aeroderivative gas turbine – LM2500/LM2500+, TM6000, and other Rotating equipment in the Field at Customer Site.
    • Performing minor/major maintenance of equipment following the IET Service Site Quality Check Lists and procedures.
    • Providing activities records accomplished at Customer Site to the Baker Hughes IET Supervisor and promotes and maintains good team relations.
    • Providing Technical supervision and advisory service to the Customer Representatives and Site Team to coordinate activities at the Customer Job Site.
    • Executing all required responsibilities safely by following all Baker Hughes Service applicable processes and procedures.
    • Providing expert troubleshooting on the equipment under maintenance and/or installation in the Field.
    • Conducting all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality and Compliance).
    • Performing other related duties as required according to the specified scope of work.

    To be successful in this role you will:

    • Have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Have a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate (please indicate clearly on resume)
    • Minimum of 5 years’  experience mainly specialized in LM2500/LM2500+, TM/LM6000, LM9000 rotating equipment.
    • Capable of carrying out the following activities without supervision:
    • Level 1 activities on PGT25/LM2500/2500+/LM6000/LM9000
    • Level 2 activities (Hot Section Exchange),
    • Level 3 activities (Gas Generator changeout/swap and Power Turbine Changeout/swap)
    • Be able to perform in autonomy some of the Installation and/or Maintenance activities of IET Rotating equipment in the Field at Customer Sites.
    • Be able to provide the planning necessary for the job including instructions to the crew and equipment used.
    • Must have Excellent Functional / Technical, Customer Focus, Communication, Interpersonal, and Team working Skills.
    • Capable to work offshore.
    • Be able to travel flexibly, at short notice and be away from your home location for undefined periods of time up to 70%.

    Supplier Quality Engineering Specialist – Oilfield Services & Equipment

    • Select suppliers through qualification processes.
    • Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards.

    As a Supplier Quality Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for

    • Managing both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors.
    • Advising Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in the own field.
    • Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
    • Contributing to project as a team member or leads small projects. Work goals typically take 3-6 months to complete and the time horizon for results/impact is typically 2-12 months after the event.

    To be successful in this role you will

    • Have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a Technical Diploma with at least 4 years of experience in Quality).
    • Have a minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering.
    • Have ability to manage day to day operations
    • Have oral and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
    • Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
    • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
    • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills.

    Global Field Service Mechanical Engineer - Gas Tech Equipment

    • To carry out on-site installation service maintenance, alignment, cleaning, repair and modification of large high voltage generators, motors and sync condensers.

    Responsibilties
    As a Global Field Service Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

    • Stripping down and rebuild large generators and related equipment; fault find and rectify as necessary and overhaul and clean.
    • Carrying out mechanical alignment checks, basic Electrical tests and adjustments to machines and complex shaft systems using mechanical, optical and laser based systems. And Electrical test equipment.
    • Interpreting specifications and technical requirements; prepare method statements and prepare detailed and concise reports for submission to customers.  Attend technical meetings on site and at customers’ premises.
    • Undergoing training if necessary to ensure that assistance to winding specialists in carrying out in-situ winding repairs/rewinds is provided.
    • Carrying out an on-site risk assessment on every assignment and record details thereof on the special form provided.

    To be successful in this role you will:

    • Have an accredited Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant experience - a minimum, qualified through a recognized Craft apprenticeship in fitting and assembly operations on large high voltage rotating electrical machines.
    • Have experience of working on Brush's equipment or similar equipment would be an advantage.
    • Have knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of Health, Safety & Environment.
    • Be Self-reliant, resourceful and a problem solver with well-developed commercial awareness.
    • Be an effective communicator, fluent in both spoken and written English.
    • Able to undertake extensive overseas and offshore working - working away approximately 29 weeks per annum.
    • Have experience in dealing with external stakeholders on site and operating remotely on own initiative.
    • Be a good team player with the ability to work independently
    • Must have completed NYSC.
