Responsibilities

• Controlling the payroll
• Producing an accurate set of month-end accounts, with comparisons to forecasts and previous periods
• Preparing profit and loss accounts and the balance sheet for senior management
• Assisting in preparing budgets and business planning, including projected room revenue
• Reconciling bank statements
• Ensuring legislation is followed regarding VAT and PAYE
• Chasing late payments, reporting bad debts and keeping a careful eye on the cash flow.

Description

• Preparing, cooking, and plating high-quality dishes for hotel restaurants, banquets, and room service, adhering strictly to recipes and food safety standards

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation & Cooking: Preparing menu items (meats, vegetables, sauces, soups) according to recipes, ensuring quality, taste, and proper presentation.
• Safety & Sanitation: Adhering to food safety guidelines, maintaining proper food temperatures, and cleaning work areas/utensils, including managing HACCP standards.
• Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels, labeling, storing food properly, and informing chefs of needed ingredients to minimize waste.
• Kitchen Operations: Setting up, maintaining, and closing down stations, handling high-volume orders during peak hours, and assisting in other stations as needed.
• Dietary Adherence: Accommodating guest allergies and special dietary requests.
